"Let's go to the beach today." your mom suggests. You and your little sister nod and you change into your bikini. Once you arrive at the beach, you try to find a quiet but not too quiet spot to put your stuff. You and your little sister go into the sea and you play with her. She's 5 but quite small for her age. You splash water in her face and she starts laughing. "Heads! Heads!" you hear a boy shout from behind you. You turn around and feel a volleyball hit your face which makes your sister laugh even harder. "I'm so sorry." the boy apologises while walking up to you through the water. "It's okay." you smile at him while handing him the ball. "I'm Lucas." he says and you shake his hand. "Y/N. I'm staying at the Orchid Beach Resort." you say. "Me too! Maybe we can hang out tomorrow or something." he suggests. "That'd be nice." you say to him before he gives you a smile and walks away.

You met Lucas a week ago and you became best friends. He's so nice and cute. You keep thinking about him. You're currently eating dinner outside of your hotel. You're wearing a black dress and you have your H/C hair in two french braids. You take a bite of your salad and enjoy the music they're playing. You look around and see that Lucas and his family are sitting next to you. Lucas looks up and smiles. "Hey Y/.N" he says while biting his lip. "Hey you." you reply shy. It's awkward since your parents are here as well.
You end up having dinner together. His parents pushed their table against yours so Lucas and you could sit next to each other. Your parents are in a conversation about something you don't understand but it looks like they're having fun. You and Lucas are talking about what you're going to do tomorrow and your little sister is talking to his little brothers, Simon and Thomas.

"So, I'll see you at the pool around 11?" Lucas asks and you nod. "Cool. I'll see you there." he smiles and gives you a hug before walking back to his room with his parents. You go back to your room as well and go to bed immediately.

"Who am I?" you hear someone ask while covering your eyes from behind you. "Lucas." you say and he spins you around so you could face him.
"How did you guess?" he asks curiously while you're walking to the pool. "You're the only one I know here and your little brothers have higher pitched voices." you explain. You lay your towel on a chair and put some sunscreen on. You try to reach your back but you can't reach it. "Need some help with that?" Lucas offers and you nod. He spreads the sunscreen all over your back and you jump into the pool once you're all set. Your parents and little sister went to a waterpark 5 minutes from the hotel and Lucas' parents and brothers went to the beach. Which means you're alone. You splash water in each others' faces and push each other under water. You have loads of fun until you see a lots of birds flying over the pool. It's dead quiet all of a sudden and you both get out of the pool to see what's happening. You quickly put on a shirt because you're both getting cold. Your eyes widen when you see the sea coming closer. Lucas grabs your hand and starts running but the water soon hits both of you and you get seperated by the water. You try to keep your head above the water but the flows keep pulling you under. You can't seem to reach the surface as often as you need and you soon run out of air. You gasp when you hit something sharp and your lungs fill with water. You try and gasp for air one last time and you feel a hand grabbing your hand. You look up and see Lucas holding onto a tree. He's having a hard time holding onto you and the tree at the same time but he tries his best. He somehow manages to get you closer to him and helps you climb into the tree. He soon follows and you start breathing really fast. "Breathe with me Y/N. In and out, in and out." he says while breathing with you. You soon stop hyperventilating and give him a hug and start crying. "Sshh. It's going to be alright." he tries to sush you while stroking your hair.
