"Holy shit..." Plait was astonished at Max's story.

"But that's not all." Max said as he lifted his shirt.

A huge scar ran from his belly button to the back of his shoulder.

"How the hell did that happen?!?" Dennis yelled.

"That is a whole different story. A story that I think is gonna give you nightmares." Max's eyes welled up.

Officer Plait, bring a mother of three, was really concerned for Max.

"Stop the car Dennis!" She yelled, scaring both the boys.

"Um... Ok." Dennis pulled over and Plait jumped out.

"Why is she going into an Apple Store?" Max asked Dennis.

"No clue kid." He replied.

Plait came back out with a bag and a piece of paper.

"What's that?" Max asked as Plait approached the car.

"Go back to the bus stop." Plait instructed Dennis.

"But it's a crime scene!" Dennis said.

"Do it!" Plait yelled.

Dennis turned the car around and drove.

When they arrived, Plait opened the door for Max and hands him the bag and paper.

"What is it?" Max asked.

"A phone. And my number. Text me when you get to the camp." Plait said and smiled.

"You mean...?" Max asked with tears forming in his bright green eyes.

"That's right Max. Your going to that camp." Plait was starting to cry as well.

Max hugged he and sobbed into her shirt.

"Thank you. For everything." Max said in tears.

"No problem Max." Plait said happily.

It felt good for Max to feel a loving touch instead of one he knew could, and would, hurt him.

"Bye Max!" Dennis called.

"Bye guys." Max said as the bus pulled up.
