"Gwen! I'm saying that something's up with that kid!" David tried to explain to his friend.

Gwen sighed.

"What do you mean? He's just a normal kid!" Gwen fell onto the chair.

"But he's not!" David said as he sat on another chair. "He had a huge scar on his back. I don't know what it was."

"Scar? Couldn't it just be from a surgery?" Gwen asked.

David looked at the ground.

"No. I don't think so." David said sincerely.

Gwen sighed.

"It's probably nothing David. Let it go." She told him.

As she left the room David sighed.

"It's not that simple..." he said to himself.

Max sat in the tent alone and cried.

He didn't know why but he felt super sad.

Then the tents flap opened and Max wiped away his tears.

"Max? Are you in there?" David called into the tent.

"No. Go away." Max called back.

"Max, buddy. You want some ice cream?" David held up a bowl.

Max thought for a moment and then nodded.

"Ok." David said as he sat down beside the boy.

"Max. I see those tears and puffy eyes." David said as he examined Max.

"What?!? No! I'm not crying." Max protested.

David sighed.

"I have a question for you."
