Max looked at the man before him.
"I'm David! I'll be your camp councillor!" He said happily.
So this is the guy that got hit by the bus... Max thought as he examined David.
A girl about David's age walked over and pulled David away.
Max couldn't hear them talking over a girl screaming.
"Nikki calm down!" A boy with a yellow turtleneck shushed her.
"But I'm happy Neil! A new camper!" Nikki squealed.
Neil covered her mouth with his hand and mouthed sorry to Max.
Max shrugged and walked over.
"Hi! I'm Nikki!" Nikki said happily.
"Hi." Max said unemotionally.
"Huh... You don't sound too happy... I'll fix that for you!" She said and reached in his direction.
Max smacked her hand away and looked at the guy.
"Neil." Is all he said.
"Max."
Max noticed that Neil was blushing slightly.
The hell is that about? The kids weird. Max thought as he stared at him.
"Cmon! Let's go to our tent!" Nikki hopped around.
"Why not." Max shrugged.
Nikki squealed and ran away.
Max didn't notice but his hoodie was up a little to show part of his scar.
The only one who cared was David, who felt worried about the boy.
