The Man Out of Time

Chapter 18

Two days later, Jim and I are finally allowed out of the hospital.

I walk into the giant room which reminds me of a warehouse, the room is dark, the only light coming from the giant doorway. All that's in the room are all the cryo-tubes, one of them containing Khan.

I walk over to his cryo-tube and look down at him through the glass

I look around to make sure I'm alone, and there are no cameras around.

There are none.

I close my eyes, and touch my pointer and middle finger to my lips, and then rest them on the cold, slick glass surface, the only thing seperating me from him.

I actually hope he hears me in his cryo-sleep, because what I'm about to say involves my past, something I can never tell anyone.

I hesitate to say my next words, them speak them very slowly and carefully.

"Good-bye, brother."
