What me so annoyed is that the others thought, that Toothless could be a reason Flambeau was here. They still didn't like the fact that I knew he survived.

Toothless and I were walking through the streets of Kembleford, the sun was shining the sky was blue. Just another day in the 1950s

"Don't worry bud, I won't let anything happen to you". I said. "I can't believe that all the others times there hasn't been a crime".

Toothless nodded. We stopped at some playing field where there were some kids playing. They had no idea what the real world was like, being in the Cotswolds they were protected to stop 21st century seeping in.

"Let's list the Pros and Cons". I suggested as we sat down on the grass.

I pulled a notebook along with a pen, then took a new page.

"Flambeau is alive, which is bad. They think he's after you". I said going through the Cons first.

The dragon started to grow, I nudged him but he was still growling. What was it? He wanted me to look in his direction as I did this, now I realised.
There in the distance was a man standing in the shadows, and from what I could tell he was smoking.

The man in the shadows was looking at us, threw his cigarette on the ground, to take a step further. My started to beat fast as I panicked.

"Toothless, you don't think that is?". I asked, but the dragon soon backed away.

I got up and ran in the opposite direction away from the man in shadows, my friend followed. Who the hell was that? I ran as fast as I could, not really paying attention where I was going. Toothless looked back to see he wasn't following, I ran into the inspector.

"Woah, calm yourself down". He said grabbing me to stop.

I panted as well as Toothless.

"What ever just happened?". He asked.

"I swear he was just there, just by the playing field". I panted.

"Spare me the riddles and get to the point".

That's not funny at a time crisis like this.

"I swear that Flambeau was there...watching us". I said.

Toothless nodded.

Oh wait he's not going to believe me, he was there when he "died".

"You must be joking". Inspector Mallory said.

"I'll explain later, but he is alive trust me". I said.

I started to back away, Toothless suggested to fly back to the presbytery. I mounted him as we took off leaving a poor confused inspector.
