"Don't you worry I'll have my best men on the job looking for him." Inspector Mallory said trying to reassure me.

I sighed, kicking a stone. "I know but there has been times before, we have pushed over the limit he never ran away he just kicked up a fuss." I said.

"Different environment, different reactions." Mallory suggested.

Which didn't make me feel any better, we were all out looking for Toothless. No one was going to rest until he was found. The inspector, sergeant and I went to Crows wood, mainly because that's where it all began and Toothless was mostly by the woods, back home.

Fresh scent of pine, filled the air. Pine needles were scattered across the forest floor as well as other leaves. The first time I came here was when Father Brown went missing, and Toothless had found the Slingshot.

I sighed, trying to keep my mind off of it so I asked. "Sooooo did the pair of you find any evidence?"

"None at all, did the Padre?" The inspector asked.

"Now that would be telling, plus even if you think it was Flambeau I might just want to point out that he does get people to do his dirty work." I stated.

"Oh yes, like the time he went to steal the painting." Goodfellow said.

I nodded, the three of us walked deeper into the forest but I had a slight feeling he wouldn't be here.

Meanwhile Sid was with Father Brown as they decided to look, around the outside of Kembleford. Mrs McCarthy and Lady Felicia went to look around her Manor. The rest of the policemen went to look in the middle of Kembleford.

"Maybe Toothless had somehow managed to get home, failing miserably to fly or just walk such a long distance of many miles." I suggested.

"What if Flambeau had got him?" Goodfellow asked.

Inspector Mallory shoved him. "That isn't helping...but on the other hand you could be write. If this Master of thieves got what he wanted, where would he hold him as hostage?"

"Deep dark alley way." I randomly suggested.

"Not 21st Century." The inspector reminded me.

Woods, Shipyard, warshouse, abandoned building, there were just to many places even for 1950s. Anyway I wonder how the others are getting on.

Near Sid's Caravan
"Did you really move it this far from the presbytery?" The father asked Sid.

"Of course Father, the scenery here is just amazing." Sid replied.

Sid and Father Brown seemed to be covering a lot of grounds not really finding anything. Until now. Sid walked through the long tall swishy green grass, when he came across a medium sized black dragon scale.

"Father!" Sid called.

Father Brown came running over to see what it was, his eyebrows raised when he recognised the scale.

"Toothless" He confirmed, before he looked at the ground to find that there were even more scales. "Sid, look there a small trail of dragon scales."

"Of course, but to dragons shred there skin?" Sid asked.

"I don't know" Answered the Priest. "But run back to the Presbytery, and get some back up, I believe we've found our victim."

Sid didn't mood, he didn't like the idea of leaving Father Brown on his own with Flambeau. Sid hesitated but soon did what he was told.
