Hi, I'm somewhat back. Though not totally. Don't worry, I am going to finish this story eventually, but I don't have as much time as I did before due to school.
IMMA TRY THO
Onto the story~~~~~~~~~~~
To say I wasn't worried about Ms. Curtis would be a lie.
I mean, the woman puked blood for goodness sakes!
So I took extra care to watch her so that I could ask Jackson to look into her illness for me later. Though I don't know why I care about her so much already. I mean, she's a grown woman who can look after herself, but she just reminds me of someone. Eh, I'll figure it out later.
Ms. Curtis was catching up with Ed and Al, so Kat and I sat in as they talked and reminisced about their training. It seemed pretty cool, I mean getting to survive for a month on an island sounded pretty fun. Dangerous, but fun. Then the training with Ms. Curtis afterwards was something to laugh about over lunch. I could definitely imagine a younger Ed trying to attack Ms. Curtis and getting tossed around like he was earlier, but I kind of wish I could see what Al looked like when he was little as well.
All I can imagine of him is a mini version of armor prancing around the same size as Edward.
Soon enough Ms. Curtis sent the boys to run a few errands, and Kat and I took this time to get to know her some more. We were all, including Sig, sitting on the couch relaxed.
"So Ms. Curtis-"
"Please, just Izumi is fine." Ms. Curtis -I mean Izumi- interrupted me with a small smile.
"Izumi," I corrected. "How were you trained if you don't mind me asking?"
She put her hand to her chin in thought for a moment.
"Well, before I ever learned alchemy, my teacher wanted me to survive for a month in the Briggs Mountains."
I looked at her in shock. I can understand the island, but the North? Where it's cold and hardly anything to eat? What the f-
"-that's also how I met my wonderful husband!" Her and Sig looked at each other with those lovey dicey eyes again and I looked the other way.
Talk about awkward...
Kat looked at me and we both had an awkward poker face on. I stifled a giggle and Kat had to cover her mouth.
"So what about you? You two are the military's top dogs aren't you? Did you learn on your own or did you have someone teach you alchemy?"
I leaned back in my seat as Kat looked way too eager to answer.
"Well, my Dad was the one to teach us both, and Alexis' brother Trevor about alchemy. We started learning when we were what, seven? It was when we were really young." Kat chirped happily, but I could feel her hands tense up as she spoke. I guess it's still painful to remember back then. "Some things happened later on and my Dad couldn't teach us anymore, so we all ended up getting trained by Alexis' Uncle, and eventually we sought out the military to further our knowledge on alchemy. It's been great using the private libraries and getting access to so many different things that we couldn't before!~"
