Hey guys! With the virus and all, I've been forced to stay quarantined for a few months since I'm high risk. Sooooo this obviously means I'll be trying to update this story and my other one that I'm currently working on. I don't have an exact schedule for this book, but I still want to finish it :)
I highly suggest you reread the last chapter over or you might get confused. I decided to change it up recently and I think it's a lot better than when I first wrote it.
Ok? Ok. Onto the story~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~
It's just has to be silver, doesn't it? Why couldn't it be something a bit more obscure like ivory or something? That stuff would be hard to come by, and I wouldn't be in so much pain!
They put a silver collar and handcuffs on me, of course with a bar in between so it was impossible to use alchemy, before hauling Al and I into the basement of the bar. We were sat up against the back wall...well Al was. I was shoved into a rather small silver cage, and the stupid wet dog guy had the nerve to laugh at me.
I swear I'm going to kill him when I get out of here!
The man in the fur coat, apparently named Greed, was busy examining Al as I tried to focus on keeping my thoughts sane. With so much silver, my spirit was literally going crazy and trying to heal the burns that kept appearing on my skin, but to no avail. If I didn't get out of here soon, I'm positive I'll be out of commission for awhile, and I can't afford to do that. I will not allow myself to be dead weight.
"...You're not chimeras, it's impossible. No one's made a chimera that can talk," Al tried to argue.
Greed chuckled and turned to look at me.
"You can't believe everything the government tells you kid. You've got all the proof you need inside you. That girl inside you is part snake. And I'm pretty sure your friend over there is part chimera as well, though I've never seen such an advanced one in a while..." he squatted down to look at me, and it took a lot of my strength just to lift my head and glare at him.
"As if, I'm not just some kind of experiment." I spat at him and turned away, wincing as I did.
"Oh really? Are you one of those shifters then? I remember the last one I ran into was really entertaining."
I growled at him but he simply smirked and stood up to walk away from me.
"And for some reason, they always seem to be really feisty. That collar suits you by the way."
Bastard.
"But who would even be capable of creating a chimera?"
'Kat! Please find us soon!' I tried to mindlink her as I zoned out, but I knew it wouldn't work. All of my senses had been shut off the moment the silver collar was put on.
"Hell, I'm more uncommon than they are."
I heard Al gasp and my attention shifted to him immediately.
"I'm a homunculus."
A what now?
The big man from before suddenly came up behind Greed and started to swing his hammer. The hammer took off Greed's head and his body fell to the floor.
I was starting to feel a little more panicked than before. He just got murdered by one of his friends! We're going to be in deep shit if I don't escape my bonds soon. I started to struggle a little more, wincing as my burns started to hurt worse.
I gasped as red electricity started to surround Greed's body and he started to stand up, his body repairing itself immediately.Even his buddies looked surprised as Greed wiped away the blood dribbling down his lips.
