I sat on the couch in the Rockbell's living room trying to read while Kat, Trevor, and Jackson were upstairs fixing their automail or whatever.

After the...news I received, I've been pretty antsy. I want to call Uncle, but I'd rather do that when everyone's asleep so that no one can hear. Ed and Al may know about me being a wolf shifter, but they and the Rockbell's don't need to know about the pack and what's happening. I'm not sure about Kat and Trevor, but the longer that they don't know, the more time I have to make a plan.

I kept rereading the same paragraph over a few times, but I still couldn't concentrate enough to keep it in my mind. I finally sighed and snapped the book close.

There is literally nothing to do. Ed's automail is supposed to be done tomorrow, and probably Trevor and Kat's as well since Trevor can make the parts in an instant with alchemy.

I still haven't talked to Trevor, and I don't plan on doing so anytime soon. He's still pissed at me, I can tell, so I'll just wait until he cools off. As much as I'd rather ignore him for eternity, he's my brother. He's family and I'd rather be on good terms with him than not at all.

I guess I was so deep in thought because I didn't hear Edward calling for me until he had to snap his fingers in front of my face. I jumped back in surprise and he cracked a small grin at me while I glared at him.

"I've been calling your name for about ten minutes straight. Are you okay?"

I gave him a curt nod and a small smile.

"I'm fine Edward. Just thinking about stuff. What did you need?"

He raised his eyebrow at me as if he didn't believe my words.

"I was gonna ask if you wanted to go with me somewhere. There's someone I need to visit and I'm sure you don't like being cooped up in this house all the time."

It was true. Although I could go anywhere I'd like, there were too many people around for me to explore the area fully.

"Yeah, sure. Let's go."

I trailed behind Edward as he led me out of the house. There was a thin veil of silence around us, but it wasn't really that uncomfortable. I was just lost in my thoughts, and he, his own.

As we got into the main streets of Resembool, people would wave and say hello from where they were walking. Some would tease Ed about his height, and some would ask if I was his girlfriend or something, to which he blushed and said no.

I'll admit, it's kind of funny seeing Edward get all hot in the face when the people would tease him. It was also nice to see that everyone knew everybody, and that they were all friendly people.

We finally walked down one road and there was nobody living or walking around down here. I would have thought there'd be more people, but that thought diminished as soon as the cemetery came into view.

Edward gave me a small, sad smile as we walked in. We stopped in front of a small headstone with the words 'Trisha Elric' neatly carved into the stone.

Edward knelt down and made a ring of flowers to lay on the grave with his alchemy. He sat there for a minute, then sighed before standing up.

"This is my mother, Trisha. She died from a sickness when I was younger."

I placed my hand comfortingly on his shoulder and rubbed gently. I understand the feeling of losing someone all too well.

"She seemed like a great person."

"She was. When Al and I first started reading Hohenhiem's alchemy notes, she supported us to continue. She was always so proud of us whenever we made something, even if it was something so completely simple."
