She then hung up the phone and I just drove, listening to Get Scared. I parked out of the way of the driveway. I took off the mask and gloves and stashed them in the back along with the knife. I saw Christy sitting out on her front porch. I grabbed my bag out of the car and walked up to Christy.

"So are you parents awake or no?" I asked.

"Yeah they're out like lights," Christy answered. "They go to bed early."

"I see, well let's head inside then."

Christy opened the door.

"Their room is down the hall from mine," Christy said. "So we'll have to be quiet going up to my room."

"Ok, I can do that," I replied.

We stepped inside and took our shoes off, I had to carry mine. We walked quietly up the stairs with Christy in front. I was in that mood to look at her rear but I tried not to. We made it to her room. I set my stuff down in a corner.

"So I think you could sleep on the bean bag," Christy said. "Or the bed."

"If I slept in the bed, wouldn't that be weird?" I asked. "I mean, do you mean in bed with you?"

"It's only weird if you think it is."

"I don't find it all too odd, I'm ok with it if you are."

"I'm ok with it."

"Ok well, I guess I'll sleep with you, but just so you stay comfortable, I'll sleep at the edge."

"Ok, I'll be right back, I need to get ready. You just situate yourself however you feel necessary."

Christy then walked out of the room. I took off my hoodie and shirt, leaving only my jeans and black tank top. I got in the bed at the edge on the right side. Christy then comes in wearing only gray shorts and a white tank top.

"Are you sure you're ok with this?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure," Christy replied.

"Ok."

Christy got into bed at the other side.We both heard police sirens pass the house.

"I wonder what happened," Christy said.

"Yeah, I wouldn't worry about," I replied.

"Ok, well good night Ben."

"Yeah, sleep well."

Awkward as fuck dude, Jason remarked.

I can't help but to agree with Jason, this is kind of awkward, Jay added.

I ignored them and closed my eyes and started to fall asleep. I was woken up by Christy.

"Ben, Ben get up," She said as she nudged me.

I look up at her, she looked a little scared.

"What time is it?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes.

"It's close to midnight," She answered.

"What's wrong?"

"I had a bad dream."

"What was it about?"

"You hurt me in ways I didn't know were possible."

"It was just a nightmare, I would never hurt you and I would never let anyone else hurt you."

"Promise?"

"Swear on my life."

We both got closer to each other. I just wrapped my arm around her and we didn't say another word. Christy just basically hugged my arm and just fell asleep. I closed my eyes once again and fell asleep. I woke up the next morning, Christy wasn't there. I got out of the bed and made it. I head over to my stuff, there was a note on top of my hoodie. It had my name on it, I picked it up and unfolded it.

Ben,

I really like you. I don't know if you feel the same way but I think last night confirmed it. But anyway, I feel like I should tell you that the me you see right now is not the real me. So I've decided to make things right and be myself. I hope you still like me.

Sincerely,

Christy

I decided to leave a note in return.

Christy,

I don't quite know how to describe the feelings I feel on paper. I want to tell you myself. Text me when you get home, Ok?

Sincerely,

Ben

Wow, she gives you almost a quarter of a page and you only write a couple of sentences, Jason remarked.

I got changed and put the other clothes in the bag, I put on my hoodie on and set the note on the kitchen counter as I walked out the front door to my car. I drove off to my house. As soon as I got there, I put the gloves in the box along with the knife and put the mask in a bag in the back seat. I got inside and was on my way to the stairs when my mom stopped me.

"Ben," Mom said.

"Yeah Mom?" I replied.

"Have you talked to your ex Katherine lately?"

"No, I mean I've seen a couple of times in school but not really stop to talk to her. Why what happened?"

"Police found her dead at Frank Fisher's house."

I acted as clueless as possible and even threw in a shocked gasp for good measure.

"Oh my god, that's terrible," I tried my best to sound shocked as well.

"Yeah I'm just glad you're safe," Mom said as she hugged me.

"Yeah, I'm glad you're safe too Mom."

"So how was your stay at Christy's?"

"It was good, it turns out we really like each other and now I'm waiting to head over to her place again. She says she's going to be herself."

"Oh well that sounds pretty interesting."

"Yeah so I'll be waiting in my room."

"Ok Ben, let me know if you need anything."

"Alright."

I made my way to my room, dropping the dirty clothes off at the washer. I waited for two hours, listening to Angerfist. It was noon and I was starting to get hungry. I headed downstairs to get lunch. When I finished I got the text from Christy that said she was home.
