Chapter 10 : Three Reasons

Flix’s POV

"I'm sorry." And then she hugged me tight. "I'm sorry Flix." She said again.

I'm shocked but I hugged her back.

"Let's continue this in my room." I whispered.

Humiwalay naman siya, but she still held my hand and we walked together. Kahit maraming nakatingin samin I manage to smiled, because first yung sinabi ni Seiko. Second yung training, yes it makes me tired but it's fun. Third this, si April. Sa isang sorry niya lang that makes me happy.

Pagdating namin sa room ko hindi na pumasok ng dalawa. Siguro para bigyan kami ng space. Pero okay na yun at least kaming dalawa lang ni April ang maguusap at walang makakarinig ng paguusapan namin.

"Sorry." She said. "Sorry Flix. Sorry sa mga masasakit na nasabi ko. I'm really sorry. May something lang talaga. I'm sorry."

Something... I think I know it already.

"That something.. Is that because of Shadows?" I asked and her body trembled and her expression is in the state of shocked.

"H-h-how do you know?" She asked.

"Napaamin namin si Jairo last time."

"Namin? Sino yung isa?"

Ewan ko kung kinakabahan ba siya o parang natatakot.

"Arwin."

She sighed. And her expression change.

"Yes. Your right. Because I'm being blockmail with Shadows. He said he was going to kill me, you and your Mom, our comrades and.. And.. And.. " a tears fell from her eyes so I caress her back.

"And?" I asked.

"And my Mom." And she cried harder.

Her Mom? I-ibig sabihin nandito si Tita Alicia?

"Tita Alicia is here?"

She shrugged. "I don't know if she is here he just said that."

"Oh." I said.

"I'm scared that time, I'm really scared not for me but for everyone." And she hugged me. "So I decided to be away from all of you to keep safe." And she cried even harder.

Ito yung ayaw ko. When she cried. Sa aming dalawa, she is one who controlled her feelings. She doesn't want anybody see her cry except me, her family, and I can say my family too. But even me I just rarely see her cry. She's strong in mental and physical.

"It's okay. Now I know the reason." I said as I hugg her.

"No. That's not only that. One more thing. I'm sorry because I can't even fight him because he's in the higher position and when they attack me they are a group so I can't fight them by myself. And in the end I choose to deal with them, I'm really sorry." She said and I hug her tighter.

"It's okay. It's not your fault. It's okay." I said. "Let's say to Mom okay?"

"We already report it even if means Danger." Then she sighed.

Danger? I think that's not what she mean. It's death. Because of what she said earlier. But I don't want that happen, I will not allowed that to happen.

"You are not be in danger. I will do anything to protect you. We will do." I said and smiled at her. She smiled slightly.

"Me too. I will protect all of you no matter what." She said while wiping her tears.

"Let's sleep for a while, I know your tired."

"Okay," she was about to stand up but I asked her.

"Where are you going?"

She confusely looked at me. "Sleep."

"But why are you going outside?"

"I was going to our dorm."

"You will sleep here."

"But--"

"No buts. That's an order from your head."

Wala naman siyang nagawa, at pumunta sa kama ko at nahiga. Ilang minuto lang ang lumipas.

"April--" naputol naman ako nung tinignan ko siya--tulog na siya. Parang ang peacefull niyang matulog ngayon. May eyebugs I think hindi siya makatulog this past few days.

Hinayaan ko na lang siya at tumabi ako sa kanya at nagpahinga rin.

Nagising ako because of the cold wind. Tinignan ko yung bedside table ko at 2:30AM na.  Ang haba ko rin pala nakatulog. Mga 6 pa lang nung lumabas kami sa training room. Tumingin naman ako sa gilid ko. Wala na si April. Siguro lumipat na sa Dorm at dun natulog.

Napagisipan ko naman lumabas. Kahit may Curfew. May curfew kasi sa may campus, 10PM ang time ng curfew. So I just quietly sneak out. But kakalabas pa lang ng pinto meron na agad akong narinig na kaluskos.

"Where are you going?" A familiar voice said.

"Arwin. Uhm.. Magpapahangin lang naman sana." I said. Tumango naman siya. "Ikaw bat nandito ka anong oras na?" Tanong ko naman.

"Duty." Maikli niyang sagot.

"What duty?"

"Guarding to your room. Wala kasi si Jairo ngayon." Napataas naman ang kilay ko.

"Why do you have to do that? I'm okay. At tsaka natulog ka ba?"

"Because that's our one of the side-duty as your commanders. Besides this is not our really job, it's just that the Commander who guarding this building is not here. So we, your commanders will guard you."

"Hmm.. Uhm.. Yung.."

"Yeah I am. I'm fine, don't worry." And then he ruffled my hair. "Sleep now Ms. Flix, we have a classes and you have a training again later." He said. And he push me slightly and I enter my room. Go to my bed and was about to sleep but.. My mind not corresponding to me. But after sometime I unconsciously smiled and then minutes after that I slept.

Nagising ako because of someone is disturbing my sleep.

"Hey Flix, wake up it's already 9 o'clock in the morning! Were going to be late!" April said. I'm familiar with her voice very well. "Wake up!" And then she shake me. I open my eyes because I know she's not stop it until I wake up.

"Immediately prepare. We’re going to be late." And then she gave me a cereal. "Eat and take a bath and Immediately fix yourself." She said.

"Yes Mommy." I sarcastically said. She rolled her eyes.

"Just go.." And then she walked out to my room.  I know that she's pissed when I said that.

But after kong kumain I immediately take a bath and fix myself because I know that we’re going to be late. Our time is 10AM its already 9:30AM. After I fix myself I immediately out of my room and I started to walked and they immediately followed me. Sumabay naman sakin si April.

"Mabagal ka talaga." She muttered.

"Mas mabilis na ko ngayon kesa dati."

"Oh. Uhm oh by the way. I have news that I've collect." She said and smiled at me like a fool. Okay?

"What?"

"About Arwin." She whispered. "And you."

I frowned. "What are you talking about?"

"Really?" She sarcastically said.

"Oh me too. I've collect some news about you and Jairo." I whispered and smirk.

"Sorry but we don't have a business." She said.

"Really?"

"Of course!" And then she rolled her eyes.
