Chapter 30: Bestfriend Cousin

Flix's POV

I'm here at my room. Reading a book and listening music. It's been days after that day in the park. They are always accompany. Panay sulpot nung Mine. And on the other side, I talk to April with Jake, and bingo they are couple na, how sweet.

"Are you not going out?" Prei said. He is here. I don't know why. But he is just sitting on my couch. "Lumabas ka naman Flix. Wag ka nga magmukmok." He added made me turn my gaze to him.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Wag kang magmukmok."

I remove my earphones and put my bookmark then close my book. "I'm not!" I retorted.

"Then why aren’t you going outside?"

"Because I can't even finish my book." I said and point to the book. He look at it and shrugged.

"But let's go outside Flix."

"Fine. Just wait." I said and he nodded and sitting pretty to my couch.

I fix myself up. When I was out to my bedroom. I see JP napping to my couch. I look at his face. Seems like he is tired. Pero inaaya niya pa rin ako. Actually ilang araw niya na ko inaaya. I'm thankful to him that he is there.

I stand up and let him sleep. I go to the kitchen and look at my ref. I will cook for him as my thank you. I get the ingredients and started to chop it. When I'm done chopping I started cooking. I will cook Ampalaya for him. His favorite food and actually my favorite too. I am just cooking when I heard a footsteps. I turn to the door of kitchen and I saw Prei entering and walking towards me.

"I'm sorry, I drown to sleep." He said and he look at me and to what I'm cooking. "What is that?"

"Ampalya. Sit down there and wait. This is almost finish." I said and he follow and he sit to the chair.

After the Ampalaya was cook. I serve a plates for us and he help me serve the food. And after that we eat.

"Hmm, Delicious." He said when he was done tasting it. "You’re a good chef."

"Thanks.” 

"Chef Anna."

We are happy eating there. And after we eat, He insist to wash the plates which I obliged but he is pushing it so in the end he is washing the plates while I am watching him.

"After this do you want to go outside?" He asked and look at me. I smiled at him.

"Okay." I said. And he smiled too.

"Yan. Lumabas ka naman bookworm."

"Bookworm your face." I said and rolled my eyes at him.

When he was done. He remove the apron and dried his hands to a dry towel.

"Let's go." He said and I automatically raised an eyebrow. His hair is messy.

"With a messy hair?" I asked I walk towards him and fix his hair. When I'm done I glance again. "Let's go." And I walk outside.

"Saan tayo punta?" He asked.

"I don't know, anywhere." I answered.

"Let's have a foodtrip." And he held my hand and pull me to the vendors and he buy our food and he pull me to the backside of the garden. We sat under the tree. And he gave me some food.

"Delicious right?" He asked while eating.

"Yeah." And I nodded and continue eating. When we are done eating, sumandal kami sa puno. Tinitignan ko lang yung langit. Ang relaxing dito. Tumingin ako kay Prei.

Si Prei nanahimik lang pero halata mong may iniisip na malalim. Nakatingin lang din siya sa langit. Binalik ko yung tingin ko sa langit. Ang ganda. Hindi ganun kaaraw, hapon na rin. Malapit na rin magsunset.

"Flix.."

"Ano yun?" I said and look at him but he is just looking at the sky.

"May problema ka ba?" He asked and look at me. Worriedly.

I stay quiet but I answered, "Wala." I said even if I know he knew that I have.

"Kung nasasaktan ka, nandito lang ako. Kung may problema ka, pwede mo ko sabihan,nandito lang ako. Kilala kita. Alam kong may problema, ayoko lang na manghimasok. At Flix, para saan pa ako ang bestfriend cousin mo? Nandito lang ako." I don't want but tears stream down my face.

He hugged me. I hugged him back and continue crying.

"Sorry. Thank you. Sorry." I said and even hugged him tighter.

"It's okay. Just cry I am here." He said.

"Thank you. Sorry. Sorry." I said continuously. I'm thankful to him for not asking and being sorry because I can't even say to him.

"Shh, Okay lang kahit hindi mo sabihin. Alam ko at naiintindihan ko. Hindi ako magtatanong. Hahayaan lang kita. Pero pwede ba isa lang ang hiling ko sayo?" Bumitaw siya sa yakap and hold my shoulders. I nodded. "Huwag ka na umiyak dahil sa kanya at pagkatapos mo umiyak ngayon be strong?" I nodded.

"Okay. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for not asking. And sorry, sorry because I can't even say it to you."

"No problem. I'm always here and don't be sorry, gusto ko lang sayo manggaling."

I'm really thankful to him for being my bestfriend cousin.
