Chapter 22

Before you start reading this, I would like to apologize. I said, planned and promised to comeback once I finished the whole story.(I even said it's not empty words anymore) But I'm uploading this chapter even I'm not yet done writing this story. I realized that you will have to wait for too long if I will really finish the whole book first before updating.

I received requests and read some of your comments here and on my instagram that you are all waiting for updates. That's why I'm here again. I've been so busy and will be more busy soon. I'll be hoping for your understanding.

One last thing I can say is I have the plan to finish this book and it's not in my intention to keep you all hanging. I'm sorry.

Joy is on her way to the PRIVATE restaurant to give her Christmas gift for Minji. Well, the New Year already came and it's the first Saturday of January 2018 where she finally had her time to visit.

The days passed by so quickly; busy schedule, year-end events, guestings, promotions and etc. The same thing that happened from December 2016 is that BTS and Red Velvet spends the Christmas and New Year together because of the year-end special events of popular channels in Korea where they gather idols together for awarding ceremonies.

Nothing actually that important happened except that Jungkook haven't contacted Joy since they last met. Joy thinks, it's maybe just because of the busy schedule although she was in contact with V every once in a while but Jungkook and her is maybe not that close to do that. She greeted him a Merry Christmas but all he replied is a "Merry Christmas too" where she finally concluded that those days she spends with him didn't really brought them closer together, it just became some kind of instance where she knew a person and they're not strangers anymore but they are not friends too. They just knew each other and that's it.

But she got this strange feeling to text him that she'll be visiting Minji today and she did. I'm a girl but it's already the 21st century! It's not weird anymore if a girl text a guy first, right? It's not like I'm telling him to meet me there, I just informed him. Ugh, it's also not like I'm texting someone I like but this somehow hurts my pride. I thought we're already friends, then why am I feeling so anxious whether I'll get a reply or not. We're friends, right?... if I don't get a reply... then maybe we're really not.

She texted him in the morning and it's already 4pm. There's no reply.

She goes to the PRIVATE restaurant as she planned. She also brought her birthday gift for V, still expecting that Jungkook will come and he may lend her gift to V.

She saw the '97 liners troops ordering their foods as she enter the restaurant and she spotted him. Jaehyun saw her and called her that caught everyone else's attention.

"Oh, Joy noona!"

She freed an awkward smile, "Ah, hi." And they greeted her back. She never looked forward to meet their squad there and it happened.

"Are you eating alone?" he asked when he came near her and the rest continued to pick their orders.

"I'm alone, yes but—."

"Join us."

"No, it's okay. I'm just here to give my gift to Minji." She tried to nicely decline his 'usual-offer-to-join-them-because-you're-alone-but-they-actually-don't-want-you-to-join-them-and-it's-just-for-formality' because they both know that if she actually joined them it will be totally uncomfortable.
