Life in the Spotlight (Sequel to "His Baby")

Part 1 of 2

Your pov (9 months pregnant)
"Ready to go babe?" Shawn asks. "Yeah let's go," you say. Tonight you're going to Shawn's parents house for dinner because his birthday is tomorrow . Michael gets in the car and you waddle to the car.
"I hate this," you mumble under your breath. Shawn drives and when you arrive, Shawn helps you out of the car. "Hello Shawn, hey Y/n," Karen (Shawn's mom) says. "Come here Michael," Manny (Shawn's dad) says. Michael gives him a hug and they walk inside.
You sit on the couch, out of breath. "Done being pregnant?" Karen says. You nod. "Let's just hope this baby doesn't have a big head like Shawn did." "Hey!" Shawn says from the kitchen. You both laugh.
You eat dinner and then right after you feel cramps. "You okay babe?" Shawn asks. "Just cramping that's all," you say. You get up and walk to the bathroom. Halfway you stop in pain.
Shawn walks to you and rubs your back. "Are you having a contraction?" You nod. You take a deep breath and keep walking. Shawn stays behind you. In the bathroom you feel something gush out of you.
"Shit. Shawn!" He comes in and runs over to you. "I think my water broke." "Do we need to go to the hospital?" "Maybe" you say as a contraction begins. He helps you up and walks you out.
"Thank you mom and dad for dinner, we're going to the hospital, can Michael stay here?" Shawn asks. "Yes of course," Karen says. You walk out to the car and Shawn drives. "We'll be there soon," Shawn says.
You arrive at the hospital and is taken into a hospital room, in a wheelchair. You get checked and you're only 2 centimeters dialed. You and Shawn get a hotel room next to the hospital.
"Let's try to get some sleep babe," Shawn says rubbing your back. You nod. "Maybe our baby will come tomorrow, I hope." You try to fall asleep but the pain is unbearable. Shawn falls fast asleep.
At 5 am you wake Shawn up. "Take me to the hospital please!" You say during a contraction. Shawn get your hospital bag and helps you to the car. "Oww it fucking hurts!" You scream.
"We're almost there," Shawn says. "Shut up!" Shawn looks at you in fear and then turns back to driving. You get into the hospital and get an iv. You get checked and the nurse looks concern.
"What's wrong?" Shawn asks. "The baby's head it's big, we might need a c section," she says. "What!" You say. "I'll have to do an ultrasound first but by the looks of it most likely."
"Surgery! Oh my god!" "Babe it's going to be okay, breathe." Shawn rubs your head and kisses your forehead. "Call my mom," you say. He nods. He calls her and the nurse does the ultrasound.
The nurse looks and nods to herself. "So?" "She's getting a c section, so we'll get you an epidural and prepare you for surgery." Your mom arrives and you get an epidural. Shawn and your mom are allowed in the surgery room.
They get dressed in paper scrubs and the nurses wheel you in your bed into the surgery room. Shawn holds one of your hands and your mom holds the other. "Everything is going to be alright," Shawn says kissing you. "Hubby," you say. He looks at you. "Happy 24th birthday."
