Peter sat in the rain under the bleachers for the rest of the school day. No one questions his where abouts because usually of he disappeared he went home from an encounter with flash or his sick aunt May. Peter lost his uncle to the army and he was left to care for his aunt. A year went past and she was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. She hasn't been home since.

She staysat the hospital being nursed while Peter Is alone at home. He missed them both dearly and said goodbye to his aunt before it was too late. She wasn't dead, but Peter knew her time wasn't too far away so he said the words before it was too late.

"The bell will ring in a couple of minutes." Peter said with the pain still squeezing his skull.

"Well I can take you to my place if you want. My dad is home though and I don't think you would like his company." Ned said.

"Why'd ya say that, I think I'll enjoy his company."

"No you won't.... what about your people, we could swing by your place?"

Ned woke up in Peters bed still shirtless and now he wore no jeans. He was in his bed naked.
His hair was still soaked from rain meaning he wasn't lying there too long.

He sat up and scanned the room from Peter, it was empty but clean. Books upon books were stacked on his shelves and the walls were decorated with tv show  posters. He was a complete nerd Ned laughed.

Ned saw that the door was wide open and wondered if anyone besides Peter knew he was there so he peeked out and down the hallway and noticed it was very quiet until Peter appeared with drinks and a shy smile stretched across his lips.

"I thought you would still be cold so I made you s-some hot chocolate, I made some coffee for me c-ause...well I didn't know of you drank coffee or not." Peter struggled to say.

Ned took the coffee and smiled after taking a long sip. "It's fine I actually really like chocolate so-"

"That's good for- I mean in the best way. I don't mean it like that- like of course it's good but.. I don't mean to be rude--"

Ned put his palm on Peters shoulder. "It's fine Pete, don't bite your tongue over it."

Peter blushed as he locked eyes with Ned and the two drank there heated beverages in comfortable silence.
