//Mary Jane//
Mary Jane woke up the next morning with a sticky note on her forehead. It was 8am and the house was empty but bright. Her window was wide open air filled the room and the creatures of the wind hummed and sang.
She got up and poker her head out the window looking out into the street and the sunrise just beyond it. The city was alive cars roared as they went past and civilians walked there k-9's in the evening.
Mary Jane did the normal morning routine, showering, getting dressed, cereal.
She stayed in the house since she got there and never left. She wanted to leave but something was keeping her back. Preventing her from moving on further. She always got to the door then turned around after looking through the peephole.
She was scared she might see someone she knows. She always liked a familiar face. She didn't want anyone to inform her parents about her arrival. She was not planning on them finding out. Even if she did tell them, nothing would change. She would be butchered into self doubt and would possibly do something more drastic than running away.
She wanted her dreams to come true but her parents didn't support that dream. It was 'unnecessary' .
When she turned around for the door after looking outside moments later she heard a knocking on the door. She peeked out the window to find Gwen Stacy standing there with a pie.
Pie was Neds favorite! Mary thought as she closed the curtains. She was going to say nobody was home but then that would be stupid because, well it just is. She instead tried to be as quiet as possible standing still and breathing slowly hoping she would go away.
Gwen instead tried to peek through the windows traveling in circles around the house. Mary Jane sat on the couch laying low. Her heart was racing as if she was hiding from Jack the Ripper himself.
Gwen knocked on the door again and spoke.
"I know your there," she warned. "I saw you open the window, is Ned home?"
Mary Jane wondered why she wanted to see Ned.
Was there something going in between them behind Peters back? It could be just a friendship but why show up this early in the morning?
Mary Jane took action and sprang to her room and put on a disguise. She came down stairs moments later with a brown wig, a pin skirt and a white t-shirt. She used makeup to cover her freckles and then she put on contacts to hide her eye color. She had very good experience with makeup so she was completely unrecognizable.
She opened the door and acted insulted trying to scare her away. She grunted and looked Gwen up and down. Wet judgemental.
"Umm, can I help you," she asked. "No, I don't want to hear about whatever you worship."
Gwen took the high rode and offered her the pie. "I was actually looking for Ned, I baked him and Peter a pie for the help."
So they are just friends. Mary thought.
She snatched the pie from her hands and through it on the small table next to the door. She smacked her lips and tossed a price of gum between her teeth.
"Is that all?"
Gwen looked around awkwardly and Mary Jane grew nervous. Her acting was running out, she was never good at improv. She slammed the door in her face and slid down to the floor with her back on the door.
It was a close call and her never stopped racing throughout the entire act.

Mary crawled to the living room and watched tv while childishly spread across the floor with pillows and a bowl of cereal when Ned got home. Peter was still at work he informed her and will be working late hours.
"The hell are you doing on the floor," he asked her dropping his keys in the bowl that rested on the table just beside the front door. "Oh, pie!"
He picked up the pie Mary Jane sat there and started snacking on the couch without a fork or spoon.
"Uh, Gwen Stacy dropped by and wanted me to give you the pie. Of course I used a disguise because. I'm not technically supposed to be here but she couldn't possible tell it was me. My act was on point."
Ned nodded as he chowed on the Apple pie and downed a quart of milk.
"What did she want?" He asked as he finished devouring the lovely baked good.
"She didn't say. She just wanted to thank you for something." Mary Jane replied as she layed on her front kicking her legs back in forth in the air. She flipped through channels and stopped at breaking news on channel 5.

*our reporter's claim there was a massive earthquake in downtown Harlem. We don't know if it's just another Hulk attack or a real earthquake but witnessed say that there are multiple contusion near the area such as, lost children, lost homes, thirty foot holes in the ground and fire in almost every building.*

"OH MY GOD!" Mary Jane shouted. The camera switched to the scene were there was floods, fire, and destruction everywhere.
"What could've did that!" Ned asked standing up.
Mary Jane stood as well and put her boots on. She wasn't thinking straight at the moment but she wanted to help in some sort of way. It was her chance to find something that people would support her on. The people always looked up to heroes, as she did before the avengers had that downfall.
"Where are you going?" Ned raced after her. Mary Jane was moving quick already in the pavement making her way down the street. "I have to hell them, don't try to stop me!"
It was probably a bad idea but Ned grabbed his keys and ran down the porch stairs.
"Than we are goimg to take my car."
Mary Jane was surprised that he didnt try to stop her. Not alot of new Yorkers were selfless only the ones who knew they can't get hurt did those things that made a difference. What difference would you make if there weren't any consequences though.
