Peter was a little shocked at Johns last words, but not shook. He knew that his past would come back to bite him in the butt. He just did not expect it to come in this form. Ned and Mary Jane stood at the door. "You would not understand anyway. You are just reporter. I however am a father with a mutant son! This world we live in don't like what is different I was trying to protect him"
Ned stayed back with his face in his palm. Slouched up against the wall as the two went on for which felt to him like forever. Mary Jane and Peter were both too stubborn to stand down. Each of them were eager to have the last word. Ned paid them no mind just thinking about what John ight actually do after this little problem Peter caused, he was fearing the worst. Mary Jane to looked at Ned her brows lowering and her nose twitching at is does when she picks up something or is skeptical.
"You have been awfully quiet. It is not like you."
"He already made up his mind. Your going to send him their aren't you?" Peter asked placing his hands on his hips.
Ned stood up and raised a brow to Peter.
"He is our son, blood or not. The school is the best place for him right now. Seeing that you took the safety of his home away from him."
"What does that mean?" Mary Jane interrupted. "You mean the institute. The mutant school?"
"Exactly. At least their he wont feel out of place. unwanted and a burden." Ned lowered his chin. "We failed as his parents peter. We weren't their when he needed us."
Ned started to leave the room. Peter grabbed his arms, only for Ned to snatch his limb away. "Not right now peter. I don't even know what to think of you right now." Ned got his leather jacket and left the lot for a while. Giving himself a break. His tone of voice let Peter know they were no more. It was not clear if they could fix things, but Ned was in no condition to stay in that house anymore than he needed to. As a last resort he visited Sam. He was the only person who he could go to, even if he was avoiding him all this time. It was his turn to make amends with his past. Just as Peter did with his son.
