Ned drove Peter to Central Park were they watched the snow melt as the sun shined in the white sky. Winter was coming to a close and that meant Peter needed to be back on the market for a job. Ned worked at stark industries as one of the chemical Scientist. He made new formulas to help with the above and beyond such as regrowing limbs and cross-species genetics. He was hand picked by his boss to help with the experiment.

Peter was fired from the pizza place in midtown so now he had to look for a new job. He used to work part time at the bugle when he was in high school, that's when he was a photographer. He was still very skilled at the art he just lost the love for it he had back then.

There was a Carnival there celebrating whatever. They didn't really know what the even was for but it seemed like fun and Ned suggested they check it out. Peter's never been to one so it was exiting.

"We should go on the Ferris wheel first Pete!" Ned said pointing to the machine towering above them.

Peter wasn't too fond if the idea. He was scared that it might break and they would be stuck up there like the tv shows. He watched alot of tv as he locked himself in his room, that was before he lodged a remote in it.

"Are you sure, we coukd get in it later maybe?" Peter asked rubbing his shoulder in the cold.

"Of course not Pete, we get on now while the line is short."

"Okay fine" Peter gave in.

They climb into the casket and the the man pulled the lever when the wheel was full. They rolled up into the sky until they got a full view if the park. It was chilly but it didn't bother the two. Peter put his gloved hands into Neds for more warmth as the casket rolled backwards and closer to the ground. By the time they rolled into the sky again Peter had enough and grew bitter.

He remembered the time he loved being this high, but now it left him with a sick feeling.

"I want to get off." He mummbled.

Peter just stared straight ahead remembering the swinging down 5th avenue and Harlem.
He could still feel the air brushing against his chest when he lunged higher into the air above buildings. Instead of the rush he had when that happened he wanted to throw up.

"Are you scared, I'm sorry I didn't know-." Ned couldn't finish being' cut off by Peter. 'It's not that'

"Than what is it? Your not feeling well?" Ned asked now more concerned than previously.

Peters stomach made a concerted sound that didn't sit well with Ned.

"Hey stop the ride! He isn't feeling well!" Ned yelled at the conductor.

The man with the blue jumpsuit tilted his cap and pulled the lever backwards. Instead of the casket rolling back again it rattled and sparks went flying from the middle if the Ferris wheel.

That's not good. Peter thought to himself. He wasn't surprised something would happen. He had bad luck around this time of year. He wasn't sad about it. He was sued to bad things going on around him.

"Sorry Peter it looks like we are going to be up here for a while; you sure you can hold it?"

Peter winced and held his gut as it continued to rumble. "I can try I just need to take my mind off soemthings."

Time went last and the wheel wasn't going down any time soon by this time a repair man climbed up and tried to find the problem. There was a key in the engine and the construct pipe had burst because if it.

He worked on for a few minutes until something blasted and he ended up dangling from the edge.

The audience released screams and watched as he struggled to pull himself up.

"Oh my god! Pete are you seeing this?" Ned yelled watching over the edge if the basket.

Pete didn't reply causing Ned to turn to him. Ned started to look around when he didn't see him.

"Peter!" He screamed as he saw him climbing down to the man. The rest of the crowd watched as peter dropped down clinging onto the bars as if his skin were glue.

He helped the man back to safety and when he himself got to the bottom he hurled himself into the trashcan releasing the Chinese food he ate earlier that day.

As he released said food the crowd cheered for his heroic action. He hated the attention and rather let the man fall. He told himself that but really he would never let that happen he would have hated himself more than he does now.
