Ouran Host Club with the American

With just one week left of the summer break Haruhi laid in her bed in the mist of sleeping and waking when the phone rang. She sighed to herself know that it was too much to ask of a full break away from the host club. Slowly she rose while rubbing her eyes and stumbled out of her room for the phone.

"Hello?" She answered while thinking please don't be Tamaki.

"Haruhi!" Said a way too cheerful voice. "Is your father awake, this is your uncle?" Like father like son Haruhi thought.

"Chairman? I'm sorry but my dad is still sleep. Would you like him to call you back?"

"No that's quit alright I just wanted to inform you of Ouran's newest foreign student!"

Haruhi rubbed her eyes saying, "Well I hope you don't find this rude of me to ask, but why do we need to know this?"

"This foreign student is a commoner like yourself, and we want her to feel at home here in Japan. So why would we send her to live with people unlike herself? That is why she is coming to stay with you!"

"What?" She shouted in shock.

"Her name is Brianna Mac and she'll be here in about 15 minutes."

"15 minutes? Chairman how is she going to live here?"

"Don't worry about the cost we will provide for all her needs and we'll be bringing a spare bed for her. She can room with you. We've already taken measurements of your home everything should fit fine."

"But Chairman, I don't even know her! Where is she from? Does she even know Japanese?"

"Oh she's from The United States and she does speak Japanese very well, though she has some difficulties reading and writing it. You will help her with that won't you?" Before Haruhi could even make a sound he said, "Of course you will. I truly appreciate you taking her in thank you."

"But Chairm-" She was cut off by the click of the phone as her dad interned the room.

"Haruhi who was on the phone?" He said flamboyantly.

She sighed hanging up the phone, "It was the chairman of Ouran. He called to let us know that a foreign student will be staying here with us."

"But Haruhi?"

"Don't worry dad they will send money for her whenever we need it." She forced a smile upon her face.

It was silent for a moment until her dad said, "I was going to say, what about your little secret?"

She shrugged, "Oh well, it doesn't bug me if another person finds out." A light knock on the door made Haruhi and her father look back at the front door.

"That's her" Haruhi said softly, then turned to open the door.
