Regardless of my jetlag from flying into a completely new day, I got no sleep.  I couldn’t stop thinking of the host club and how their falling apart. On top of that I lost Mr. Giggles, which made me think of Mike and the rest of my family. It was so nice being home again, the whole time I couldn’t stop smiling. Now I don’t think I could crack a smile if my life was on the line. I can’t help but think that more than just my life is on the line though. The happiness of the host club and all their guest is on the line. How do you find a way out of this kind of predicament?

Haruhi and I walked in to the classroom; I walked straight to my seat to find Hikaru sitting in it. “You’re in my seat.” I said as I stared down at him.

He looked up at me as if I just intruded a deep conversion, but he only said, “Sorry Bri. I’ve been sitting here since you left, I just can’t deal with Haruhi right now.”

“Then take Kaoru’s seat,” I pointed down to him.

“WHAT?” Kaoru asked looking at me with a heart broke expression.

I rolled my eyes and said, “I know you’re still sitting next to Haruhi but I got to talk to you anyways.”

Hikaru looked back at Kaoru like he was asking permission; he glanced up to me then got up and walked to Hikaru’s seat. Hikaru sat down, as did I and he asked, “So what’s up?”

I took out a piece of paper and started to write.

‘Haruhi talked to me yesterday, have to admit that your plain is better than hers but you’re going about it the wrong way. How are you going to help her if you keep ignoring her?’

I passed the note to Hikaru as Mr. Sato took attendance. He scribbled something on the page and passed it back.

‘Well I can’t talk to her without of fighting so ignoring is the best I could do for now.’

‘Well no one’s getting anywhere with that and you know it! So what are you gonna do?’

I saw him sigh from the corner of my eye, he slowly wrote out a three words.

‘Let her go?’

I looked over him, and he had hands folded under his chin with his eyes forward. His expression was unreadable. He glanced over to me slightly and gave a sad smile.

‘Do whatever you think is right’ I wrote to him.

He stared at the note for a while before he wrote, ‘I don’t think it’s right to give the Haruhi the opportunity to hurt anyone else but I also know it’s not right to hold her where she doesn’t want to be.’

I sighed and wrote out, ‘I’ll deal with her I guess, but you guys have to stop fighting. I mean it Hikaru, set an example for the others.’

He let out a single chuckle, ‘I’ve never really been good at setting examples.’

The bell rang for break and I said to Hikaru as we walked out, “First time for everything right?”

I ripped up the note and tossed it in the trash, then said, “Give Kaoru his seat back after break okay.”

Hikaru smiled at me saying, “I thought you missed him.”

I shook my head as Kaoru and Haruhi arrived outside the classroom, “See you at lunch guys.”

I headed off for orchestra and before I was even all the way through the door I heard the annoying roar of, “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!”

“America.”

“Oh… you should have stayed there,” the conductor said as I walked passed him.

“Oh but then I would miss your scowling face too much,” I said while unpacking.
