Alex took out his little surprise and opened the box. It was half of a heart on a chain that had the initials A.G. craved into in. Kiersten shook as she took the necklace from the perfect singer.

“Alex, its its beautiful. I don’t know what to say.” (She threw her hands up to her face and let out a sharp breathe)

“Kiersten, this is a promise. Thi-“ (Alex was cut off by Kiersten’s sudden kiss)

Alex smiled against the kiss. He started to think about how he was ever nervous about what was going to happen. Kiersten was in his arms, shaking like a leaf, and he tightened his grip on her. He wasn’t about to let this scare her away, especially this little prick that thought he controlled Alex’s life. Fuck that.

Kiersten pulled back and turned around asking Alex to put the necklace on her. He did as she asked and placed the velvet box on the table. The necklace sparkled in the light and cast little reflective rainbows on Kiersten. She was practically glowing as her delicate hand traced the chain and the heart pendant. Still smiling, Alex grabbed his iPhone and pulled up the camera and snapped a picture of the scene. She became aware of what Alex did and practically jumped on him causing him to fall backwards. She laughed as she reached for the iPhone that Alex was trying to keep out of her reach.

“Alex, DELETE IT.”

“No. I don’t think I will.” (Alex winked and chuckled as Kiersten reached again for the phone)

“Do it!”

“How about a deal? You give me something, and I’ll give you something.”

“Sounds like a sexual reference.”

“Kiersten. You crack me up!” (Alex started laughing)

Taking this opportunity to get something done, Kiersten reached for the phone. She snatched it from the singer’s hand and went to open it. It was locked. Alex looked down at her and chuckled. He didn’t think she could the passcode because recently he changed because of the increased activity with the little prick. No shocker though, she broke the code and got in. Alex reached around the shoulder’s of his girlfriend as she looked at the picture he snapped of her. Her hair was laying over he shoulders, the necklace was laying delicately against her fair skin. The rainbow light shined and hit her face and chest as she looked upon the gift. Her delicate hand traced the heart every so lightly and her faced contained a smile that could move mountains. He snatched the phone as she was looking at herself in awe. She had a tendency to think little of herself, but Alex always knew how to pick her up. He hated her lack of self-esteem because they see two different people. Alex always made her feel like she was the only girl in the world, that’s how he wanted to to feel always. Kiersten turned around to her boyfriend and touched the heart again, tracing his initials. He leaned down and kissed her forehead. Always having her remember that she was his, he was hers, and she was beautiful.

Alex got up and went to the front door, opening it and allowing the breeze to flow through the house. He dialed a familiar number. After about two rings, Jack picked up the phone. Alex explained what just happened, and Jack immediately congratulated him. Alex and jack talked and caught up with each other for about twenty minutes. The time off the band has only made Alex realize how far he came with Kiersten. He smiled.

His thoughts were unfortunately cut short when he noticed that a car circling the small proximity that he and Kiersten occupied. Starting to get suspicious he hung up the phone, after telling Jack good-bye, and went back inside to think. He found Kiersten standing by the window near the back of the house. She looked like she was in deep thought, her hand still on the necklace. Alex pulled her lightly by her waist and sat her on the couch. He tried to explain what was going on with the car. He thought they had to leave, but Kiersten was tired of running. She sighed and agreed though with her boyfriend. They slowly made it to the bedroom where a note was pressed against the bed cover. Same font. Same paper. The mystery prick struck again.
