When Jenny awoke early that morning, she was surprised to find herself lying in what appeared to be a normal bed. At first, she thought maybe being kidnapped by a sassy Calinthro was all a dream, but to her dismay, a giant pair of green eyes were staring at her from just beyond the floor of the shelf. "It's creepy to watch people sleep." She grumbled as she pulled the soft blanket far over her head to try and ignore the demon.

"And it's rude to ignore your owner, pet." She heard his deep voice respond and with an annoyed groan she pushed herself into a sitting position, meeting those gentle green eyes with anger filled chocolate brown ones.

"You're not my owner! And stop calling me pet! My name is Jenny!" She shouted before cringing back in fear when the gentle look in his eyes turned dark and fierce.

"Look. You have no idea how patient I have been with you." Before she even had time to react his giant digits ripped her from the comfortable bed and she found herself trapped in a tight prison. The air was squeezed out of her lungs as Derrick continued to talk. "And if you think for one second that pissing me off is going to make me take you back, it's not! So I suggest you learn to bite back any sass. Or I may just stop being as nice as I am." He turned away from her mini apartment, deciding just to trap her somewhere until Max and Sophie get there for breakfast.

Jenny didn't dare to struggle in his tight grip, forcing herself to take even the smallest of breaths to avoid passing out. But when she saw where he was headed, she began to fight against his massive hand as hard as she could. A few meters ahead of him sat a small cardboard box. You know how as a kid you would find the biggest box you could and try to make a fort out of it? Yeah, that's what this looked like. Just big enough for her to fit in if her knees were to her chest and arms to her sides.

"D-Derrick, m-master, please. You know how much I hate small spaces! P-Please I'll be good, please!" She pleaded with the Calinthro as his fingers stuffed her into the tight space. She began to panic as she fought against it but it was no use and she was sealed in complete darkness.

It was true, he did know. She would never play hide and seek when she was younger because she didn't want to have to crawl inside a cabinet. Even the bathroom stalls at her high school were too small to her, he couldn't imagine how him stuffing her into that box would be any better. But maybe it would help her understand and not be such a bitch since he doesn't want to have to physically hurt her.

Derrick remains silent as he used tape to seal the top of the box, making it impossible for her to escape. He then tucks the tiny box neatly inside his nightstand drawer, just in case she did somehow manage to. "I'm sorry." He whispered, quiet enough that even she couldn't hear him while he turned and left his bedroom.

Jenny's heart beat heavily in her chest as she fought against the cardboard. She felt like she couldn't breathe. She was panicking and began to do something she hated doing. Cry. Hot tears ran down her face as she placed her forehead on her knees and sobbed. She screamed the Calinthro's name, screaming and crying as she wanted him to release her. Apologizing, pleading, even trying to bribe him! But she found it useless and just continued to heave loud sobs against her knees.

Seeing as demons had exceptional hearing, even after he had made his way to the kitchen he could hear her tiny cries and pleas, and it crushed his small heart. He could still hear her laughs from when she thought he was human. How often she would call him her best friend. These thoughts only made him ache more. So pushing his thoughts away, he began to set the table.

Two plates filled with the raw, bloody organs from the animals of the Underworld. Red liquid dripping from the meat to the plate, and even some splattering onto the table which he quickly wiped up to avoid startling Jenny any more than what she would be when she saw what his kind ate.

He then places two human sized plates down, filled with the same thing, as it was the only food he had available and had to hope Jenny would accept that for now. It was then another soft cry besides Jenny's could be heard and he made his way into the living room.

Max stands in the center of the room with Sophie, his own human held tightly in a fist. "Now listen here. If you embarrass me today I will not hesitate to crush your ribs when we get back. Do I make myself clear?" His voiced hissed into the ear of the trembling human, Derrick swiftly stepping in and taking her from his friend.

"Max, why don't you go and clean up for dinner? I'll keep an eye on her, don't worry." He smiles and watched Max cast another dark glare at Sophie before heading to the bathroom. He turned his gaze down to the trembling human and cringed when he saw what she was wearing. Very short shorts and a tight tank top, showing off almost every bruise, cut, and scar on her delicate, pale body.

"M-Mister D-Derrick." Her soft voice came out and he used one of his fingers to pet her hair to soothe her.

"Hush, it's alright for now Sophie. You can meet my own little pet today and you two can chat. Does that sound nice?" He kept his voice calm and gentle, smiling as she leaned into his touch.

"I-It's not a man...is it? A-Anytime master leaves m-me with a male human he l-lets them do whatever they want to me and-" The blonde was interrupted when a large finger covered her mouth.

"I told you to hush. No, it's not a male. Her name is Jenny, she's just a few years younger than you." He smiled softly and felt her trembling frame relax in his palm. But just as it had relaxed a hand snatched her from his grasp in a tight fist. "Oh, Max, give her some slack." He turned his green orbs to his friend.

"No. As soon as you start giving them slack, they start disobeying." Max spoke with a shrug and headed to the kitchen. "So where's your little darling, huh? I'm starting to think about getting rid of this one and getting a new human. One that's not so used to everything."

Derrick cringed at the thought. Getting rid of her meant killing her. And even though he is a demon, he's never actually killed anyone. Mostly just tormented. "I'll...go get her." He said softly and glanced to the frightened and shocked Sophie as he climbed the stairs to his bedroom.
