Thank you all so much for 300 followers! I'm about to cry. I started writing just for fun, just as a hobby. But now I feel like it's my job. One that I love to no end. And all of you are amazing. Thank you all for your support. Without you, most of my characters wouldn't exist.

Jenny thought they'd go home. As soon as she with her mom and boyfriend were in her fathers palms, she thought she'd black out. But it wasn't that easy. As soon as Noah had lifted them all up, a loud bang echoed throughout the room as dust, wood, splinters, and stones filled the room.

Jenny and Harriet began coughing due to the dust, Noah trying to wave his free hand to clear the clouded dirt away. "What the hell?!" He exclaimed and backed away from the wall. "Someone just busted through the wall."

A deep growl could be heard, and her father visibly tensed. His dark brown eyes widened and he turned them down to his daughter, wife, and Derrick. "It's that Beast. We don't have a name for it, it's just called The Beast." Noah whispered, taking slow steps back. "There are too many humans in one place, and it's suppertime for the monster. Harriet, Jenny, take Derrick and get away. Don't look at me. I'm going to transform into something similar to a monster. I don't need either of you to see this."

Jenny knew exactly what he was talking about. She'd seen Derrick do it before. But as far as she knew, she only saw part of it. What is the full thing look like? She's so curious and yet...she doesn't know if she actually wants to know.

"Of course," Harriet spoke up, grabbing Jenny's arm gently and helped her pull Derrick across the floor away from the giant beings about to battle it out.

Noah waited until his family was a safer distance away before turning to glare at the growling monster in the settling dust. "I'll give you one chance to leave." He spoke in a low tone, using his own body to shield the three humans from The Beast.

In response, the monster lunged for the Calinthro and sunk its teeth deep into Noah's shoulder.

Noah hissed in pain and grabbed The Beast by its neck with both hands. Forcing the thing away from him, he held his shoulder with one hand and new he couldn't do much without taking on the true form of the Calinthro.

Taking a deep breath, he felt adrenaline pumping through his body. His teeth grew and shaped into fangs, sending pain through his gums. Another sharp sting went through his fingers as his nails grew out, shaping themselves into inch long claws. But it didn't stop there as it had done with Derrick.

Large, black wings sprouted from his back and spread out behind him. His skin turned gray and thick, almost like a leather. And his eyes, of course, became that Hellfire red, his pupils dilating in the center of the crimson orbs. "I warned you." He said with a dark growl in his tone, stepping closer to The Beast now.

In one quick movement, he ran forward and gripped The Beast by its jaws. He ignored it snapping and trying to scratch him. Noah knew that if he let it get by, he could lose everything.

Jenny panted heavily, clinging to Derrick's arm and trying to wake him up. If they had to run, he couldn't be out like that. "Derrick, Derrick come on." She whispered, listening to the frightening sounds of the fight behind her. All she could tell herself was 'Don't look back. Don't look back.'

She hates being a human. Why did she have to be so curious? Slowly she looked over her shoulder and covered her mouth to muffle a squeal.

Her father looked very different then he had. His nails, teeth, he even had wings now! And that wasn't the only thing. Blood was running down his face, arms, and back where she could see bare skin from where the wings tore through his shirt. "Dad!"

Noah turned his head, staring at Jenny with wide eyes. he lost his footing, pushed backward by the monster and tried to grab its tail as it ran past him. "Damn it...Jenny!"

Only able to stare, the teen was frozen in fear. Her own dark brown eyes wide as The Beast kept getting closer.

A force from the side sent her off of her feet and into the opposite wall. She coughed and groaned in pain, her vision now blurry as she tried to see what had happened. Something had hit her. Was it that monster? What...happened? Her eyes closed and she went limp on the floor, falling into a nightmarish darkness.
