Jenny's chocolate brown eyes met the demon's, and her heart nearly leaped into her throat at what she saw. The white's of his eyes were a pure black, with nothing but a red spot the size of an iris in them. And his voice was so much deeper, darker. "D-Derrick?" She stuttered out, the elderly woman that was behind her now stepping in front of her.

"She belongs to me now," Derrick said with a hiss, eyes narrowed angrily at the old lady. "And if you don't move I won't hesitate to kill you. I can make anything look like an accident."

The old woman stood her ground, but now it was Jenny's turn to move in front of her. "I-I can't let him hurt you, grandma." She said softly, taking her hands. "I-I think I'm safe with him, I'm alive. M-Maybe we can visit more. But I can't let him hurt you. I-I can't." Tears began to brim in her eyes. She didn't want to leave, but she also didn't want anyone to get hurt because of her stupid antics.

"Jenny, I lost your mother I can't lose you too." She said softly, placing a cold hand on her granddaughter's cheek. "I'm old, I should be dead by now anyway. You should have your whole life ahead of you. You shouldn't be a slave to a terrible creature like him."

"Grandmama, please." The teen whispered before a strong hand gripped her shoulder and yanked her away. "N-No, let go of me!" She shouted, another hand covering her mouth and she could hear that dark voice whisper in her ear, his breath against her neck.

"Make another sound, I dare you."

Instead, she clamped up, trembling against the muscular body she's pressed up against. Her eyes staring into her grandmothers pale blue ones. They looked so sad. Hurt. Defeated. A few tears rolled down both hers and the elderly woman's cheeks. Just as it looked like she was about to take a step forward black and red spots began to cloud Jenny's vision. She knew what this was. In a moment she'd black out and wake back up in the Underworld.

Derrick returned home in an instant, his hand now curled around the teen's body as he glared angrily down at her. "You're so stupid." He said with a growl in his tone. "You have no idea how pissed off I am at you."

He dropped her onto his bed's pillow and stormed to another room, catching a glimpse of himself in the mirror. Parts of his teeth had turned to fangs. His eyes were black and red. And looking to his hands, his nails had turned into clawlike spikes. Shock replaced the anger and he leaned against his bedroom wall.

Breathing heavily he attempted to force himself to calm down. Who knew how badly he'd scared Jenny? Sure, he wanted to, but he wouldn't want her to try and run away. Especially back in the Underworld where she wouldn't last five minutes.

"Derrick you idiot." He grumbled to himself, watching his nails sing back into his skin to take the form of human ones. Blood dripped off his fingers as a sharp pain shot through his gums as his teeth retracted from fangs to the squarelike bone. "For someone who knows how painful that is you can't control your temper very well." He chuckled to himself and met his eyes in the mirror. Once again they were emerald green.

His strong hearing picked up a soft rustling from behind him. Turning he could see Jenny there, staring at him with wide fear filled eyes; her tiny body trembling in that same fear.

She was absolutely terrified. What she had seen back at her home was different. It wasn't him, it was a monster. Red and black eyes, fangs, sharp nails. It was frightening and she wanted him to stay away from her. But much to her dismay the giant demon began to approach the soft surface she was sitting on.

"You must forget my other looks. I didn't mean to do that, I just got frustrated. Especially since you and your grandmother were being bitches." Derrick grumbled, curling his fingers around the shaking form of the girl.

As the massive digits curled around her, Jenny didn't dare to struggle and responded with a soft whimper. If that's how he gets when he's actually angry, she doesn't want to risk saying or doing anything to piss him off again.

"Jenny, please. You need to know that I still love you. Really." He leaned in, pecking the top of her head with a gentle kiss. "Why don't we go see Max and Sophie, my pet? We can attempt to take your mind off of certain things."

She'd give anything to be around a normal person, so going to see Sophie sounded amazing. Very slowly she nodded her head, avoiding meeting the giant eyes staring down at her.

"Alright. We can go see them here soon. We should probably get you something to eat first though, and not what you ate this morning. I managed to snag some food from your old house to bring back." Derrick smiled down at the human, who was obviously avoiding looking at him.

How had he managed to snag something so quick? That's almost near impossible right? "H-How...?" She stuttered out, trying to calm herself down, hoping he wouldn't get angry for her asking.

"Just trust me. I know it may be a little hard, but please. Trust me."
