Derrick's face fell as the words came out of her mouth. One moment she had seemed enchanted with the mini apartment and kitten, the next she was calling him stupid. "I beg your pardon?" He arched one of his bushy eyebrows, hoping he heard wrong even though his insides were bubbling with both anger and sadness.

"You heard me." Jenny spat angrily. "You think giving me shit will make me forgive you for kidnapping me? For making me believe you were my friend?! You betrayed me!" Her voice got louder and louder as she spoke until she was practically screaming at the demon. She didn't care if he hurt her. She just wants to go home now.

"Jenny!" His voice echoed overhead so loud she had to clamp her hands over her ears while the kitten yowled in fear at the Calinthro. "I don't expect you to forgive, or even forget! But you have to believe me when I say I love you. I took you from Earth because I knew how miserable you were. I know about the bullying. I know everything about you because you literally told me everything! I'm the closest thing to family you're ever going to have."

Jenny stayed silent as she processed what he was saying. He had kept such a gentle tone even now when she tried to get on his nerves. But that last sentence. "Y-You're not my family. My family is gone! My mother and father vanished when I was born, and my grandma was my only living relative that would take care of me! My dad had no brothers and his parents were dead! My mother had no siblings and I'm an only child! You stole me from the one woman that took care of me! She was all I had, and I was all she had! Now that I'm gone, it's going to destroy her!" She hadn't realized tears had begun to stream down her face as she spoke.

Every bit of her heart ached. The poor old woman that cared for her all her life. That dealt with her emotional times and took her shopping constantly because Jenny had failed her driving test. Just thinking about it made everything going on worse and she finally broke down.

Derrick just stood in silence as he watched her cry in his hand. He didn't care about the old bat, he only cared about Jenny. "Don't cry my pet." He cooed, pressing her into his muscular chest. "You don't have to worry. I'll take care of you now. Think about it...you don't have to worry about bills, school, getting a job here. Because I do all of that. That's what owners are for after all. They care about their little pets." He used a finger to gently push her hair back, humming a soft tune. "As I said, I love you, Jenny."

Most of what he said was tuned out as she cried, but she couldn't resist leaning into his chest and listening to the thunderous heartbeat within. For some reason it was comforting. It made her relax, it felt...almost familiar. But she ignored that as she gripped onto the fabric of the shirt and continued to sob until she was sure she had no tears left.

"There...there. It's all going to be okay." Derrick continued to coo and whisper sweet nothings to the teen in his palm, the kitten curled up in Jenny's lap while all this went on. "You know, other Calinthro's treat their pet humans a lot different than I treat you. I should get my friend over with his human girl. Then you can see just how good you have it here." He mumbled above her.

Jenny turned her brown orbs up into his giant green ones with a confused expression. "W-What do you mean...a lot different?" In her head, she was imagining kinky shit. French maid outfit, knee height white stockings, whips. She shook her head to quickly get rid of those images.

"You'll just have to wait and see. Okay?" Derrick smiled gently and lowered his pet down onto his soft pillow, allowing the kitten to scurry off his hand too. "I think you should get some rest. It'll be a long day tomorrow."

Jenny looked up at her captor and couldn't fight off the soft smile that crept onto her lips. "I-I think...you're right 'master.' Th-Thank you."

Derrick nodded then grinned and lifted both her and the kitten back up, depositing them into the tiny apartment placed in his cupboard. "There, now you can use your own bed. Sleep well, my pet."

He watched as the human and gray kitten both crawled into the tiny bed before he closed his eyes and used his strength to vanish from his own home, appearing in the living room of his closest Calinthro friend. "Hey, Max?!" He looked around the living room when he felt a sharp thud on the back of his head.

"Will you shut it?!" His friend's voice hissed from behind. "I just got the maggot to sleep in her cage. She was screaming at me for at least an hour before it finally shut up and passed out on the floor of the cage."

"Why don't you get her an apartment? They work a lot better. My human went to sleep automatically." Derrick mumbled softly, glancing back at Max.

Max's lips curled into a grin. "You finally got your own eh? Took you long enough. Remember that one girl we both shared a while back? How she fought against us but could never escape." He snickered, using a thumb to rub his eye.

"I'm not like that to this one. She's different, you'd never understand." He sighed. He had a feeling this would happen. "Just...you and Sophie drop by tomorrow morning. You and she can meet Jenny."

"You've changed Derrick. But fine. I'll be sure to wake the maggot up and be there to meet your own little bug."

"Alright...I'll see you at breakfast then." Derrick watched as Max left the room then rubbed the back of his neck in a worried motion. What they ate, as demons were far different from what the humans ate. Hopefully, Jenny would understand.
