We were split into three groups.
Group One was The Elites. There was no such thing as the populars. We only have the Elites, who no one dares to mess with.
Group Two belonged to the Averages. The one who you'd need to have a brie...

"Oh, wow, I can't believe this," Tears streamed down my face as I buried my face into my palms. "This can't be real." I sniffed.
"It is, Lani," My mom said, now crying as well. "Your father's coming back home." She smiled, the tears coming even faster than before.
The corners of my mouth tilted up slightly, my excessive tears not giving my eyes a chance to dry. I went to my bathroom and took a look in the mirror, my eyes puffy and red. I released a breath I didn't realize I was holding in and went to my room, putting on my comfiest clothing and hopped into bed, finally crying myself to sleep.
I woke up to the sound of my mom yelling. "You can't possibly expect me to forgive you for bullying my daughter over something fake, do you?!" I climbed out of bed, rubbing my eyes.
"I'm sorry, Mi-Mrs. Hilliker, we just really want to speak to Kalani." I could hear the familiar blonde's voice echoing through the door.
"She cried herself to sleep and I think you two are the last people she'd want to see."
"Kalani cared that much about what we said?" Brooke's voice peeped.
"The girl tore herself apart because of what you two said! You two were blaming her for something her father didn't even do!"
"Mrs. Hilliker, you have to understand... I know we were harsh towards Kalani, but wouldn't you understand? We were just looking for someone to blame, the death of a close one can take a huge toll on someone." I couldn't see Paige, but her tone was getting more defensive by the second.
"And, of course, out of all people you could've chosen, it was my daughter."
"She is the daughter of the man we thought killed our brother!" Paige said, raising her voice a little more.
"Paige, it's okay." Brooke tried to soothe her rage.
"No, it's not, Brooke! You have to stop being so optimistic! This woman is accusing us for acting out when we had the right to! She just doesn't understand that!" Paige began to sob hysterically.
"Mrs. Hilliker, how would you feel if someone had murdered your brother and the father of one of your closest friends was arrested for killing him! You would be acting the exact same-!"
"Shut up."
I had to do something or else my mom would get arrested for beating up a minor. I opened my door and headed down the stairs.
"Listen, Paige. Now, you know the truth. I respect that you have come to apologize, and I accept. My mom needs a little more time and maybe, just maybe, she'll come around one day. As of right now, I think we all need to cool off."
