"Alright. Let's play Truth or Shot." Maddie grinned, tilting forward. The girls and I sat in a circle on Tate's black, soft rug. The girls groaned, and I looked around.
"Can we play at least one game that doesn't have the word 'truth' in it?" Brynn groaned and fell back from a criss-cross position onto Tate's rug, laying down.
"You have something so hide, Rumfallo?" Maddie asked, smiling.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Dear Lani, the instructions are in the title. You either tell the truth or take a shot." Maddie smiled mischievously.
"Ugh, Maddie, not this again! You know how many hangovers and killer headaches I've woken up with?" Bostyn sighed, rubbing her head.
"I think it's a GREAT idea!" Lukasiak perked.
"Oh, shut it, Lukasiak. You're just Maddie's little slave!" Kendall spat, rolling her eyes.
The girls all gasped, including Maddie, who gave Kendall a death glare. Paige looked slightly taken aback at Kendall's outburst, but had a tiny grin at her lips that was barely noticeable. Chloe East sat back into the white couch and laughed. "You know she's not wrong, Ziegs!" She pointed to Maddie and raised her eyebrows.
"Oh, shut it, East! Like you don't swoon over Kendall's every word," Maddie rolled her eyes, "'Cause guess what? You two are both snarky and rude and fit for each other!" Maddie sarcastically smiled then leaned back into Tate's white bean bag.
"Okay, all of you, shut it!" Nia yelled.
"At least I'm not a murderer..." East murmured under her breath.
Maddie and all the girls, except Nia, gasped and Nia gave East the death glare. Maddie got up and stormed out of Tate's room, Lukasiak at her heels, making a beeline for the door. Murderer?
Shocked at what had just occurred in front of our eyes, the girls and I sat wide eyed and uncomfortably in silence. Even Kenzie, Maddie's own sister looked shocked.
"No, Chloe! Get away from me! I don't need your stupid help!" Maddie screamed. Tate peered out the window and we all gathered around her. Maddie twisted her arm out of Chloe's grip, then got into her car, slamming the door, and drove off, leaving Chloe staring after her in shock. She looked down and began walking down the sidewalk, tears in her eyes.
"I think I should go after her." Mackenzie got up, grabbed her purse and Maddie's, then walked out the door herself. "Bye guys." She waved.
"Bye Kenz." We all murmured.
"I think I should go too." I stood up.
"I think you should all go." East sneered, getting up.
We all got up, murmured our goodbyes, then went our separate ways.
I got home, flopping onto my bed, getting under the covers. What a day. We discovered that Maddie is a possible murderer, more drama happened, and now Maddie probably won't talk to anyone of us. I sighed and felt myself dozing off when my phone buzzed.
Maddie Meet me at Tea Leaf in 5, need to explain myself.

Maddie No. Come alone.
Me Why me? You've known me the shortest out of all these girls. Why not one of them?
Maddie I'm taking a risk, I don't even know if I can trust you. I do, though, know for a fact that I can't trust any one of those Elites, I'm seeing if you'll prove me wrong.
