We were split into three groups.
Group One was The Elites. There was no such thing as the populars. We only have the Elites, who no one dares to mess with.
Group Two belonged to the Averages. The one who you'd need to have a brie...

My phone buzzed loudly. My mom glanced at my phone, then at me.
"Who is it?" My mom said.
I sighed. I hating having over protective parents, but I guess it was for my own good. "Not a boy, if that's what you're asking. It's Maddie."
My mom gasps, almost dropping the plate in her hand. "Ziegler?"
I nod.
"Stay away from her, Lani. Please. She's more dangerous than you think." My mom pleaded, terror in her eyes.
I furrowed my brow and continued to eat my cereal. Why was my mom so afraid of the Ziegler's? I picked up my phone and read Maddie's message.
Maddie meeting @ tate's house, be there at five
Me I'll be there.
"Mom, I'm going to go to my new friend, Tate's, house at five." I said.
"Um, no, you're not."
"What?"
"I said no. No means no. Is Maddie going to be there?" My mom questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes." What was the point in lying? She already knew the answer.
"Then no."
I took my cereal upstairs, huffed, and shut the door softly. Well, being a new Elite, I knew what I had to do. Sneak out.
"Mom! I'm taking a nap!"
"Okay, honey!"
I silently began to put on my clothes and shoes, then quietly unlatched the window. I began climbing out. My window was overlooking a roof, so I got onto the roof, then hung from it and silently and safely dropped to the floor.
Me Pick me up a block away.
Maddie Ooh, I'm sensing a bit of a runaway?
Me Had to sneak out. Focus on driving.
I went a block away from my house and got into Maddie's car. Once I got in, all the girls started chanting. "Runaway! Runaway!" I laughed and put on my seatbelt.
Mom Don't think I'm stupid, Lani. I know you're not taking a nap. I'll let this one slide for today.
Me Sorry, mom. :(
I sighed and turned my phone off.
"Ooh, who was that, Lani? A boyfriend?" Maddie nudged me with her elbow.
"Actually, my mom. Telling me that she knows I'm not taking a nap."
"Seriously, Lani? You NEVER use a nap as an excuse!" Bostyn said.
"Then what do I say?"
"Anything but napping!"
-
"Okay, ladies!" Maddie clapped. "Time to play a wonderful game of... drumroll please..." All the girls did a drumroll on Tate's black rug. "The cliché truth or dare!"
"Ugh! Can't we do something different for once?" Kendall scoffed.
"But it's tradition, Keny!" Chloe piped, again listening to Maddie's words.
"Keny?" Brynn said, raising her eyebrows, bursting into a fit of laughter. "Oh gosh, that's hilarious!"
Kendall rolled her eyes, got up and grabbed her purse and keys. "I'm out."
"Oh, come on, Keny! We're just joking!" Maddie says, now laughing along with Brynn. Kendall shoots all of us a dirty look, then slams the door. Brooke shakes her head, sighs, and follows after Kendall.
"Ugh, what losers. They always ruin our fun." Maddie rolls her eyes. I glance at Paige to see how she feels about Maddie calling her sister a loser, but she just nods along, agreeing with Maddie. "Okay. Let's get started. Since we have a wonderful first time player..." She looks at me. "Kalani, truth or dare?"
"Be ca-" Nia was cut off by Maddie's hand flying over her mouth.
"Dare." I smile and nod.
"Ooh, we got a little rebel here, don't we?"
"Mm, I have a lot in mind... let's see. I'll take it easy on you. Go up to the first guy you see on the street, tell them you love them and hug them really tight."
"Oh my- Ugh, fine." I laugh, rolling my eyes and opening the door, heading outside with all the girls following.
Just my luck, a guy our age was walking up the street at that exact moment and Maddie pushed me into him. I quickly wrapped my arms around him, said 'I love you' and smiled, then walked away.
Once I shut the door, Brynn smiled. "Whoo, La-ni!" She softly punches my shoulder.
"Thanks guys, now a complete stranger, who was gorgeous, by the way, and our age, is going to think I'm some kind of stalker who's in love with him." I frowned, huffed, then began to laugh.
"Ah, whatever! He looked confused, but the second you turned around, he laughed. We were watching from the window." Nia smiled slightly, gesturing to the girls.
"You should be pleased, Lani. You have a potential love interest." Lukasiak winked.
"Mhm, yeah, 'love interest,'" I made air quotes around love interest, "As if my parents would let me look at a guy without accusing me of dating him." I laughed.
"Let loose, Lani! You were selected into the Elites for a reason! To be a baddie like us." Mackenzie says.
"Say what you wanna say, but I'm not one to disrespect my parents!" I put my hands up in defeat and smiled slightly.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Chloe East roll her eyes. "Do you have no idea who you just hugged?"
"Um, no? Am I supposed to?" I looked around at the girls for help. They all just glanced back with confused looks on their faces.
"That's the cutest guy in Stanford High School!" She said, glancing down at her neat gel nails.
"You mean that trash neighboring school that no one cares about nor goes to?" Maddie shrugged slightly.
"Watch it, Ziegler, some of us went there." East shot back, smacking her gum.
Maddie put her hands up sarcastically and rolled her eyes. "You mean, only you and Kendall?"
