A Bond That Can't Be Broken

Maya's pov
"I can't feel anything, I can't get drunk." Barry exclaimed, drinking all the cups that filled alcohol.

"Oh let me try," I grab one and drown in, coughing afterwards. "Yup, definitely your hypermetabolism."

Barry shakes his head, while Cisco went to get more and Caitlin takes a sample. Eddies phone buzzes, saying there's an explosion, causing the couple to leave the bar. I then hear swoosh knowing Barry had left as well. I noticed my hair was everywhere. Ugh idiot.

"There's a window washer, he's about to fall." Barry says through the ear piece.

Cisco makes a face, "Well don't try and catch, you don't have super strength."

He can't really fly through the air but the faster he runs to less the gravity. That means only one thing, "Barry you have to run really fast." I hear Barry reply with a 'okay'.

"Well how far do you need to go?"

"About 50 meters give or take." Cisco does the math, while Caitlin talks to him on how to use his velocity. After Barry successfully rescues the guy, I decided to head home.

The next day, he asked if I wanted to go with him and Joe to solve another crime. I didn't feel like it today, it felt like a lazy day to me. I'm just gonna head to S.T.A.R Labs. I grab my coat and leave the house.

As I arrived I find the same people I expected to see, "Hey Mai." Cisco waves, I return a wave as well.

"What brings you here?" Caitlin asks, typing something on her phone. I smile then sit beside Cisco, telling her how I didn't feel like doing anything today and I wanted to see what they were doing.

Just then Wells came in, "Maya, nice seeing you today." I smile, spinning myself in a rolling chair.

"So, how are you and Aiden?" Caitlin wiggles her eyebrows, making me laugh.

I shrug, a smile creeping on my lips, "Well, he asked me out on a date this weekend." Caitlin cheers while Wells and Cisco look at me.

"Date? As in two people going on a romantic dinner with candles and roses." Cisco says as I make a weird face at him.

"Sure. If that's how you want to want to think of it."

Wells then spoke, "I see. Does you're brother know about this?" I stay silent the turn the other direction, making Cisco gasp at me.

Before he can say anything Barry walked in, talking about how he couldn't investigate on the bomber. "C.C.P.D's been ordered off the case."

"What why?" I now stand up, wanting to know who was the cause of this.

"The Army." He sigh, "He's the general, the   name is Eiling, I think."

"General Wade Eiling." We hear a voice, then see Wells, "10 years ago he contacted S.T.A.R Labs for gene therapies for soldiers." He continued on and said something about mind reading. Why would he want to do something with mind reading?

"He took of the evidence I collected on the bombing." Barry handed him the folder while Cisco did the research on his computer.

"Our girls name is Bette Sans Souci," he stated, "an EOD specialist for the Army."

I run my fingers through my hair, "Is there an address?"

"Cameron Scott, Anglewood." He nodded as Barry and I looked at each other. There was a swoosh, causing papers to fly everywhere. I laugh seeing a giant one on Cisco's face.
