Maya's pov
I froze at the man in the yellow suit, who seemed calm when standing before me. My hand found its way to my mouth as I backed up and slid down my wall. "Please don't hurt me." I cried, wishing he would leave but he didn't. I felt like a kid who was afraid of the dark, fearing the boogie man would scare them. This, however, was not the boogie man, he is a killer.
"I don't wanna hurt you, Maya." His frightening voice echoed through the room. All I wanted was for Barry to come to my rescue and scare away the man but I couldn't. I felt tears form in my eyes, watching him step closer, making my heart want to escape from my body as well. "But you did see something you shouldn't of saw." He bent down to my level, his eyes glowing a bright red staring into my soul. Suddenly his hand started vibrating as I stood in shock. "You will end up dead, just like your mother." Was the last thing he said before briskly splitting my heart in half by his hand.
I woke up, feeling like I just jumped into a pool of my own sweat. It was only a nightmare. I breathed out in relief, ripping the covers off of me and cautiously stepping on the steps of the stairs. I hear a couple of voices at the bottom, "I kind of already time traveled." I hear my brothers voice. I'm sorry? Time traveled? I finally go to the bottom where I am reveled in my flannel pajamas pants and plain white shirt. My mouth felt dry, suddenly.
You know how you wake up from a nap and you suddenly feel like all the water has been sucked out of your body. That's how I feel right now. All heads turn my direction as I walk over to the fridge and grab a water bottle. I go back with all still staring at me bizarrely. "Did you take a nap?" Barry asks, motioning how my hair was sticking out from every direction. I was going to give a sarcastic reply until I remembered he said he did time travel.
"No no, you said you traveled back in time. When?" I ask as he puts his hands in his pockets and sighs. He started explaining that time when Mark Mardon had caused a tsunami and tried to stop it but ended up turning back time. That's the reason for Cisco's dreams...
"Oh you mean the ones where Wells uses his super speeding hand to shred apart my heart along with Maya's." Cisco stated normally while I shifted uncomfortably in my seat. Barry looks at me then back at them saying maybe they weren't dreams. We all look at him, unsure where he was going at. He then said they could be memories from that day Wells killed us from finding out his secret and Barry changed it. "But if it never happened how can Cisco remember it?" I ask, still not following.
He didn't seem to know the answer then ended up having a really bad idea. Since when does Barry not have a bad idea? Like when we were kids we decided to go on our roof and look at the sky then I almost slipped off and cracked my skull in half. Of course we got into trouble with Joe lecturing us to never do anything that can put us in any harm. Then again, it was so much easier to let Barry take the blame. "We're gonna get Wells to confess to killing our mom." Barry states.
After discussing everything at home, Caitlin had built glasses that will help Cisco have lucid dreams which was my idea. Okay fine, it was Barrys but I still get some credit for connecting the dots. Caitlin started informing us of how lucid dreaming is harmless. Fascinating. "Who is going to be lucid dreaming?" A shivering, yet creepy voice said.
"Uh..." we started to trail off.
A sudden thought popped into my mind. "My dog." I say while the others turn to me in awareness. I smiled trying to hide the fact that I am crapping bricks from staring at the man before me.
He raised his eyebrow and tilted his head to the side, "You're dog? Ms. Allen, it is unnecessary to do lucid dreaming on your pet, I'd say." Dr. Wells narrowed his icy blue eyes that were staring into my soul.
"Well, you know how pets are, they can be a pain in the ass most of the time." I said, even though my sentence was off topic.
"What she means is not only can it be for pets, but also meta humans." Caitlin cut in saving me. As they kept talking about it, Barry smacked the back of my head for not having a well enough convincing idea while I smacked his forehead in return. He gasped, holding a hand over his forehead causing me to snicker. Dr. Wells then started saying how it effected to the brain and how it will work. "Then the dreamer could speak. He could describe his dream."
