CHAPTER FIVE
The spring season had finally chanced upon Korea that week, the entire state covered with the blooming of flowers everywhere people walked.
It was a Saturday, which meant that it was Jin's off day from anything related to school. The duo had both cycled all the way to the outskirts of town that was fortunately near their houses, just to be around nature's beauty.
Jin took a whiff of the scent the field of flowers provided him with, his sense of smell appreciating the sweetness of it.
He looked at Jisoo who was currently filming in the horse stable while patting the horses' heads. By instinct, Jisoo already had a good natured benevolence towards animals. She was easily fascinated by them as she hadn't had any opportunity to keep them as a pet in her household. Oftenly, Jisoo would ask Jin to accompany her to pet shelters during their free time.
If Jisoo had a weakness, food and animals would definitely be it.
Jin plucked a few flower stems to collect and form them into a flower bouquet, afterwards proceeding to walk towards Jisoo, his hands occupied with the simple act of affection.
He enveloped Jisoo with his arms slung around her waist, surprising the girl with the small collection of flowers that were being held in the palm of his hands in front of them.
Jisoo got ready to turn around, her mouth opened already prepared to scold Jin for disturbing the moment she was having with the horses, until her eyes landed on the sight of the beautiful bluebells themselves. Her eyes widened in both awe and surprise.
She stammered out a reply from the unexpected serenade of flora, her lips opened and closed like a gaping fish. "These are..."
Jin smirked against her back, his chin resting on the blade of her shoulders. "Are?"
"Stunning," she muttered breathlessly, her head turning slightly to glance at him underneath her long and naturally curled lashes. "I'm in awe. I can't believe you still remembered that I love bluebells."
Like a 60's movies, she shifted her entire body to look at him in the eyes. The wind caressed their skin, the flowers flowing within, and in between they both shared a mutual look of pleasantries. Their lips were both sealed shut, yet their spirits remained in communication with one another.
"Obviously I will, I'm your best friend," Jin replied obnoxiously before proceeding to walk off, intending to head back home, but not before tugging Jisoo by her fingertips.
Jisoo faltered for a while, surprised by the sudden skinship. "Hey, come on," Jin nudged her when he realized that Jisoo still hadn't move from her spot. Jin eyed the girl inquisitively, but soon decided not to probe her further and continued to walk.
