CHAPTER ELEVEN

Jisoo's mother had retired back home for the night, leaving her daughter under Jin's care. Jisoo hugged her mother and waved her goodbye, watching her step into the house to make sure that her mother had locked the door and was safe and sound, even though their houses were merely right next to one another.

"Last two to reach the living room needs to clean up!" Hoseok suddenly shouted, scrambling out of his seat the moment he announced it. Every single one of them ran after him, desperate to not be the one stuck doing the dishwashing duty. The whole of them bulldozed towards their intent destination, shoving and ramming against one another's shoulders like a bunch of animals seeking for its prey in the wild. They screamed as they latched onto each other's clothes, yanking it with a force such that their clothes would stretch and almost rip.

Hoseok had almost been the one to reach the living room first, halfway composing a vain smile on his face until he felt a pair of claws sunken and gripped onto his shoulders tightly like a cat – soft but sharp. In an instant the cocky grin was completely wiped off from his face, in its place a jittery and uneasy look had assembled his features. "Shit!" He let out a girly shriek just before falling and sliding across the wooden floor, along with his attacker on his back. "Motherfu–," he had almost wanted to curse until Namjoon stepped in after them, giving him a pointed look.

Hoseok turned around and found the culprit who had squashed him. "Jennie Kim, how light do you think you are?" he groaned in pain as he knocked his forehead against the floor and huffed loudly, softly pushing her off from his back, where her limbs were wrapped all around his body to prevent her body from any friction against the floor. In other words, Jennie had smartly prevented herself from any injury by cocooning herself around Hoseok. Jennie fell over beside his contorted form in a bundle of giggles.

It was unfortunate that Jisoo was one of the most unfit amongst the girls. Soon she found herself to be one of the last few to step into the living room after she struggled being trampled and ran over by a bunch of elephants on her way there. In front of her was Yoongi, who was breathing just as heavily while he readjusted his clothes. "Yah, I make music, not exercise, for a living!" he said as he rested his hands on his knees, inhaling a few deep calming breaths. He turned his head up to look at Jisoo, "I guess it's you and me on duty, baby."

Jin purposely cleared his throat loudly at that, walking into the living room all of a sudden. His action prompted everyone to look at him, including Yoongi, who had suddenly plastered a relieved smile on his face upon seeing Jin to be the last person stepping into the living room, saving him from the torture of cleaning.

"Hold up. Did you just," Lisa gave Jin a bewildered look and raised her arms up, gesturing wildly with her hands to exaggerate the situation. "Came in, and then walked back out when you thought no one was looking, then came right back in, again?" Jin's face slowly turned beetroot red at the fact that he was caught red handed.

"Um, no? No." Jin still tried to deny despite the obvious, shaking his head back and forth, but everyone excluding Yoongi and Jisoo had cocked their eyebrows at Jin's apparent bluff as they all knew what had really happened a few minutes ago. Everyone clearly saw Seokjin running and pushing everyone's hands off as he made his way into the living room, desperate and just as bad as the others. His broad shoulders weren't hard to miss; it was distinct figure in everyone's vision. Even Jisoo knew that Jin was amongst one of the first few to reach the living room, it was that noticeable.

"Really?" Lisa asked satirically, squinting her eyes as she snorted. The rest accompanied her snort by indiscreet snickers. Jin averted his eyes from everyone's penetrating stare.
