A DEMON'S LOVE
Sabi nila, may dahilan kung bakit tayo nabubuhay. Hindi lang para maging masaya, kundi para maramdaman ang lahat ng emosyon— kahit masakit pa. They think I’m too strange, but I stopped caring about their opinions long ago.
I believe in the impossible. Maybe that’s why destiny decided to play its cruel game with me.
I’ve never trusted anyone. My heart was scarred early on, and I learned that people always leave— often in the most painful way. So, I built walls around myself, keeping everyone out. It’s better that way. At least then, I don’t have to feel the sting of being abandoned again.
That’s why I choose solitude. I’ve gotten used to it. It’s easier to be alone than to risk someone leaving me behind again.
The only person I can truly trust is my grandmother. Her love for me has never wavered, and I’m grateful for that. But even she has her secrets. Sometimes I wonder if her stories about my life are real, or if she’s just trying to protect me. Still, I accept her words— because in the end, she’s all I have. And that’s why I follow her, no matter what.
All of a sudden, I found myself questioning everything. I didn’t know why, but I knew it all came back to him— the person I once loved, the one who turned out to be a much bigger part of my life than I ever imagined.
Loving him was heartbreaking, and it devours me, but it was priceless. Every memory is worth holding onto, even though the heavens try to take them away from me. Yes, I fell in love. He made me see that, in the moments we shared, I truly had him. But behind his joyful, mysterious facade lay the biggest secret of all— the man I loved...
… was a demon.
Yes, he’s a demon. And this is his story. Our story. A Demon’s Love.

[A Filipino-English, Paranormal-Romance story written by yours truly.]NOTE:
I wrote and posted this story back in 2016, but I decided to unpublish it on Wattpad after a few months because I felt like there were a lot of holes and details left unexplained. In 2017, I started revising the story, but I didn't get the chance to finish the revision. I published the revised first half of the story for the second time, but I still felt something wasn't right, so I unpublished it again. I continued to revise, publish, and unpublish this story countless times. After years of deciding what to do, what to add or remove from this story, I'm finally settled and happy with the outcome. Now, I've decided to post it here.Lastly, feel free to avoid reading comments to avoid spoilers or confusion about the flow of the story.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope you still enjoy reading this. Thank you for waiting and supporting this story of mine.
2024. REVISED VERSION OF A DEMON'S LOVE.
