A week had passed.
Kylie told her folks.
Told her it was nothing and that she had an overactive imagination.
"Vampires, dad. That's all I'm saying." Kylie said.
"Kylie Allison, it's been a week. let it go!" Malia plead.
"But what if it's true?" Kylie asked excitedly.
"Are there really Vampires? Because that would be really cool." Raph said.
"No it would not. Never in the history of Beacon Hills has there ever been a vampire."
Malia said washing the dishes. "Can we talk about something else? Please?"
"Fine. Whatever." Kylie said.
"So Liam told me Lacrosse tryouts are on Monday."
Scott said.
"That's nice. Hope he gets some good players."
Kylie said.
"I think he might. Especially if you try out. No pun intended." Scott said.
"Sure. After I give myself a root canal with a pair of rusty scissors." Kylie said sarcastically. Raph laughed.
"Why not? I played it.
My ex girlfriend played it.
You know the coach..." Scott said as she just stared.
"It'll help you make friends!" Malia said sweetly.
"I have friends." Kylie said.
"A friend. I love Eugene but he's like the family pet."
Malia said.
"Rude." Kylie pouted.
"Come on, bunny. You'll be good at it." Scott encouraged.
"I hate when you call me that.
And you don't know I'll be any good." Kylie said.
"You're just saying that because you don't want to do it." Scott said.
"Give the man a prize! There are only so many ways a girl can say; no way in Hell. The answer is no and that's it."

MONDAY MORNING

"Listen here, pal. If I'm going to try out for the stupid Lacrosse team, so are you." Kylie said annoyed as she walked up to the signing sheet. Dragging him along.
"You know I'm not good at sports." Eugene said.
"I hate it too but it'll be a lot more bearable if you were there. Please do me this solid?" Kylie asked.
"Okay but stop it with the eyes." Eugene said and signed. "I'm pathetic."
"No. You're just a good friend.
Blood." Kylie said suddenly.
"What?" Eugene asked.
Just then a group of there walked in the school doors.
The other students whispered among themselves. Wondering who the beautiful strangers might be.
After disappearing into the principal's office(after some direction from an overly eager student) Kylie's name got called over the P.A.
"Ah crap. Go ahead. I'll meet you in class after." Kylie said.
"Okay. Good luck." Eugene said and walked away. Turning to give a worried look. She mouthed that she was fine.
With a deep breath, Kylie braved the Principal's office.
"I didn't do it, Mrs Clarkson. I just got here. I was nowhere near the scene of the offense. There are witnesses."
Kylie said quickly.
"...You didn't do anything wrong." Mrs Clarkson said.
"Oh. Sorry. PTSD moment.
So why am I here?"
Kylie asked.
"We have new transfers.
Vitani, Nicklaus and Leo.
I just wanted you to show them around. Teach them how things work around here."
Mrs Clarkson explained.
"Oh. Okay. Cool. Does this give me a "get out of class free" pass?" Kylie asked.
"For one of the school's best students, I've never met someone so allergic to school in my life... Yes. Pick it up from the secretary."
She sighed.
"Super. Let's go, newbies." Kylie said snapping. They all got up and stared at her before following her out.
"Okay, Scooby. We got it from here. We don't need your help." Vitani said with her arms crossed.
"Okay...but like you just got here. You won't know your way around." Kylie said.
"We're resourceful." Vitani said with kind of an attitude.
"But, Vitani you're terrible at direction."
Niklaus pointed out.
"Shut it, Niklaus! I'm the damn leader and I say we don't need help from a tree sniffing, bone munching dog!" Vitani spewed.
"But she's nice. And pretty." Niklaus said. "And she goes to this school."
"When I want your input I will ask for it. Otherwise shut...it!" Vitani demanded.
"Whether you guys take my help or not, I still get out of math so I don't really care."
Kylie said.
"Marry me?" Niklaus asked.
"We don't need your help.
We'll figure it out on our own. Boys. Let's go." Vitani ordered. The boys rolled their eyes but followed.
Kylie shrugged and made her way to the cafeteria to help the cafeteria lady cook until class ended.
Then she went to her locker to get her books for a class she actually liked.
"So then they argued for like five minutes about if they should take the help or not.
This short rat looking chick kept insulting me. I would have killed her but dad keeps telling me to be friendlier and act more like a lady." Kylie rolled her eyes as she relayed the story to Eugene.
"Not bad advice."
Eugene said.
"Ah! Screw you. I am such a lady." Kylie said hitting him.
"Clearly. You're more man than me but it's part of your charm." Eugene said.
"Thanks? Oh look. There they are. You guys find everything okay?" Kylie asked.
"Eventually."
Niklaus said bitterly.
"Well that must have been some adventure, huh?
We didn't officially meet. What with bitchiness and all. But I'm Kylie McCall. This is my friend  Eu...Greenberg. Call him Greenberg."
Kylie said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you both. Especially you, Kylie.
So, you single or__"
Nik started.
Vitani yanked his ear.
"We didn't come here to associate with dogs and commoners. Get it together." Vitani ordered.
"You're kind of a bitch and normally I have ways of dealing with your type but I happen to like these boots. Plus I have that ridiculous Lacrosse tryout so I'm gonna let it slide." Kylie said.
"Ky. Everything okay over here?" Liam asked.
"Never better. Just talking to some new friends." Kylie said.
"Well, that's good. I'm proud of you. So am I seeing you at Lacrosse tryouts?"
Liam asked hopefully.
"Yes...You are."
Kylie said with gritted teeth.
"Be more excited. I won't be that bad. 1:30, kiddo. Be there." Liam kissed her forehead and left.
"So is that my competition?" Nik asked.
"Ew. No. He's like my uncle." Kylie said disgusted.
"Good. So that means I have a shot." Nik said.
"Don't bother, man. I've been barking up that tree for years." Eugene sighed.
"This is amusing and all but we have class. In more ways than one." Vitani said.
"So, does he talk at all or..." Kylie asked, referring to Leo.
"Yeah but  pretty girls make him shy." Nik said.
"Gentleman! Let's roll out." Vitani ordered.
"I hate myself for automatically thinking about Transformers when you said that. And I blame you, E." Kylie said. Eugene raised a confused eyebrow.
"Don't worry. We hate you too." Vitani said. She walked away with the boys. Kylie growled low and her eyes flashed gold for a few seconds.
"Down girl. Let's get to English." Eugene said and walked her down the hall.
They got to class on time, only for Leo to walk in 10 minutes late. Whispering something in the teacher's ear before sitting next to her.
The rest of the class was spent intently listening to the the teacher and exchanging cute/flirty glances now and again. Then it ended.
His crew was waiting just outside so they didn't have much talking time.
She had Bio with Niklaus.
Followed by History with
Rat Barbie.
Lunch with her bestie. Along with internal panic.
"How you doing?" Greenberg asked rubbing her back.
"Sick. I don't do well in forced situations. I don't do well with changes." Kylie ran her hands through her hair.
"Why is my princess upset?" Nik asked. Sitting next to her.
"She's just a little nervous about Lacrosse tryouts." Eugene explained.
"That brute sport. Just don't do it. If it bothers you."
Vitani said.
"I wish I could but my dad suckered me into it."
Kylie said.
"That's cute." Nik said.
"You'll be fine." Leo said finally. Scaring the crap out of Kylie. "What?"
"You just talked. Now I'm convinced. Okay...I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna try out for Lacrosse."

LACROSSE TRYOUTS

"What the hell was thinking?" Kylie asked doing her fifth lap
of Suicide Runs.
Followed by shooting practice and Goalie tryouts.
After an hour or so Liam blew the whistle.
No one could be more glad that it was over. Kylie looked up in the stands and saw her two new friends and their sister staring back at her warmly. Well the boys smiled.
Kylie waved at them before looking down at her recouperating friend.
"Good job, shorty. You were worried about nothing. You'll get the results on Friday." Liam said. Crouching down at Greenberg. "You good?"
"Well I'm not dead!" Eugene said breathlessly.
"Help me get him up." Kylie said. The each grabbed an arm and helped her unfortunate friend inside.
