Friday rolled around and Kylie grew closer to the new kids. Even Vitani became slightly less obnoxious.
Raph also got a new classmate as well but they weren't friends."So, like...Is your mom seeing anyone?" Roscoe asked.
"Yeah...my dad. Raph said sarcastically.
"Right...So how strong is their marriage?" Roscoe asked.
"Solid. I know I'm going to regret this but... Why are you asking?" Raph asked.
"I don't know...Your dad's at at work a lot. She's a young, attractive female with three kids maybe she wants some company." Roscoe said.
"She is my mother!"
Raph said disgusted.
"It's not my fault your mom's hot. Especially since she got that new haircut..."
Roscoe drifted off.
"You are disturbed. Professional help needs to be sought." Raph rolled his eyes.
"Hey. I likes what I likes. Here comes that new kid, Deacon.
I don't like that guy."
Roscoe said.
"You're just jealous because all the girls flock to him like moths to a flame." Raph said.
"A little bit but it's something more. I get a bad vibe from him." Roscoe said.
"Like he's just an ass hat or bad Banshee vibes?" Raph asked as they walked.
"Banshee. He seems to be surrounded by death. And can't you smell it?"
Roscoe asked.
"I don't know. I haven't gotten a handle on the smelling thing yet. Everything just smells like one hot mess.
What is it?" Raph asked.
"He's not human."
Roscoe said. Usually Raph would ignore Roscoe's ridiculous theories(like Obama being an alien because no human could be that attractive) but Raph could tell when he got all pensive and slipped into Banshee territory, that it was a premonition.
And one to be taken seriously.BHHS
"I swear, it was like so awkward last night because I was up studying and__"
"Hey, Kylie. Results come out today after lunch. Think you made it." One of the boys who tried out asked.
"I don't know. Maybe."
Kylie laughed.
"I hope you did. Who else would I torment?" He asked.
"You can try but I'll just snap your dainty wrist. Then how will you hold your...Lacrosse stick?" Kylie asked.
"You got jokes." He chuckled.
"For days. Run along now." Kylie said smiling at him.
"Good luck, gremlin." He said.
"Later, douche nozzle."
Kylie said.
Eugene rolled his eyes.
"How do you get boys to just flirt with you like that?" Vitani asked.
"He was flirting?" Kylie asked.
"Guys have been flirting with you all week." Klaus said.
"They have? Huh." Kylie said.
"You really haven't noticed?" Leo asked surprised.
"She never does." Eugene said with just a teaspoon
of bitterness.
"What's with you?"
Kylie asked.
"Nothing." Eugene said.
"You just lied to my face but whatever. Anyway, why would they flirt with me?" Kylie asked.
"Because you're super pretty, fun, honest." Klaus started.
"Smart, funny, nice__"
Leo continued.
"Athletic, badass, flirty and once you get past the dog smell, you smell pretty." Vitani finished.
"You just gave me a compliment." Kylie teased.
"Did you missed the part about the dog smell?"
Vitani asked.
"Nope. Just focusing on the positive. I wore you down." Kylie smiled.
"Don't get a swelled head." Vitani said. Kylie tapped the tip of her nose.
"You're so weird."
Vitani laughed.LACROSSE RESULTS
"Welcome back, kids.
Really good job you guys. Some of you don't know what punctuality is because Mr Dancers is only now showing up." Liam said annoyed.
"Sorry coach." He apologized.
"It's fine. Just try to not let it happen again. Now! Down to business. The kids who's name I did not call didn't make it in. Those that I did, will get their jerseys. The rest of your equipment is waiting in a numbered box by the door. Alright!
First String; Rimerez! Duncan! Hunter. Danvers. Michaels... McCall." The Jersey landed on her face as Liam continued.
Reality set in.
"Wait...what is this for?"
Kylie asked suddenly.
"So you don't play Lacrosse naked. We could get carded."
Liam said sarcastically.
"It has says McCall on it. Is there another McCall that signed up?" Kylie asked.
"Sweetie, it has your name on it because you made the team." Liam said.
"I did?! Huh. Well fuck me." Kylie said in shock.
"Something every guy in here wants to do." Ramirez said.
"Dave, shut the hell up.
Kylie, watch your language." Liam warned.
"Sorry. Slipped out."
Kylie said.
"Not with me." Duncan said.
"Next person to say anything disgusting is off the team and I talk to your collective mothers." The locker room was silent "Glad we understand each other. Last but not least in Second String: Eugene Greenberg."
Liam said.
"How? I was terrible!" Greenberg said.
"True but I've seen worse.
Okay. The rest of you can leave. Thank you for trying. Better luck next year." Liam said. The rest walked away disappointed and bitter.
"Looks like we'll be working closely together." Ramirez said with a smile. Liam glared at him "In a professional capacity!" He added.
"Thought that's what you meant. The rest of you get to take your swag home. Anything missing or destroyed on your will be paid for by you."
Liam explained.
You get the rest of the day."
There was a stampede as the boys left. Kylie rolled her eyes. Eugene just stared.
"In what alternate universe do I make the lacrosse team.
"This one." Kylie hit him.
"Stiles was terrible but he still played anyway." Liam said.
"I made...a sports team." Eugene said in shock.
"You did. You should be proud. And congratulations, Kylie!" Liam picked her up and twirled her.
"Whee! Ha ha. At some point you'll have to stop doing that.
I'm sixteen now." Kylie said.
"I don't care how old you get, you will always be my little baby faced trouble maker, who's diapers I changed." Liam pinched her cheeks.
"Why?" Kylie asked.
"Because I love you. And you still giggle when I spin you around so you're not that grown up. I'll bring your stuff to the house after work. I have stuff to do at the office."
Liam said.
"Sure?" Kylie asked.
Liam nodded.
"Can I wear the Jersey?" Kylie asked excitedly.
"It's yours. Enjoy." Liam said.
"Thanks!" Kylie removed her jacket slipped it on.
"...You'll grow into it." Liam tilted his head. Looking at the shirt that drowned his goddaughter.
"Sweet! Let's go, teammate!" Kylie said happily and dragged Greenberg along.
"Fragile arms, Kylie!"
Eugene yelled. They stopped.
"Sorry. I'm just happy." Kylie said. Taking a breath.
"I see congratulations are in order." Klaus said.
"We made the team!" Kylie said happily. Liam came out.
"Take it down a decibel." Liam said as he came out of the locker room. "You forgot your jacket. Here you go." Liam said handing her, her jacket with two hundred in the pocket. "Go hit the mall with your friends. On me."
"Thank you?" Liam said.
"Have fun." Liam said and left for the office.
"He's so hot." Vitani said.
"Ew. So how bout it? Mall trip?" Kylie asked.
"Why not? I need some new clothes anyway." Vitani said.
"Aww! Our little girl is growing up." Klaus teased.
"I will castrate you." Vitani threatened as they walked out the door. Eugene was kind of falling behind so Kylie fell back and held his hand.
"Are you mad at me?" Kylie asked as they made their way to the parking lot.
"No! I could never be mad at you. I'm just used to having you all to myself." Eugene said with a sad smile.
"I may have new friends but you are always my #1." Kylie pulled him close.
"Go to know."
Eugene laughed.
"Kylie. You know we're all vampires right?" Vitani asked.
"The stench of blood was a huge hint but I didn't have any proof." Kylie said.
Vitani shrugged and bared her fangs. The boys followed suit. Kylie glowed her eyes and brought her claws.
"So you are a werewolf.
The woodsy, dog smell was dead give away."
Both girls laughed.
"Now that that's out of the way. Let's go before uncle Liam changes his mind.
I'll lead." Kylie said.
"Your town." Vitani said. The trio hopped in their Camero.
Kylie and E hopped on her bike. Taking off.
They shopped for clothes. Talked. A lot! Bought a few tops, some skirts and dog tags with their new pack symbol on it(the Gaelic symbol for friendship).
Talked some more and the boys complained about being bored and hungry. So they stopped so they could grab something. Well Kylie and Greenberg ate anyway.
The vampires drank a chiller cup filled with blood.
"Okay, you guys have to meet my family. They think I'm crazy. Join us for dinner tomorrow night." Kylie said.
"As you can see...We're not food people." Leo said.
"Fake it. Outside of Greenberg I don't have any friends." Kylie said.
"She's just going guilt trip you until you say yes so..." Greenberg said.
"It's true." Kylie said.
"Deacon won't like it."
Leo said concerned.
"Then we don't tell him?" Vitani winked.
"You're outvoted because I want to see my wife's house." Klaus said excitedly.
"Cool. Then Saturday at 9:00. I'll give you the directions."
Kylie said but Leo couldn't hear her over the internal panic.
