Three blocks from Kylie's house and Vitani and Klaus had had enough of Leo's non stop fretting.
"We get it! It's a bad idea. Enough already!"
Vitani said annoyed.
"Sorry but what if we get in trouble?" Leo asked.
"We're always in trouble." Klaus said. "I think this is it."
"Guys, we lied! We told Deacon we were going feasting." Leo fretted.
"It wasn't wrong technically." Klaus said getting out the car.
"Technically?! What the hell does technicality matter when we're all dead?!"
Leo asked. Totally ignoring him, Vitani rang the bell.
"If you're so worried, why'd you come with us?"
Klaus asked.
"To try to convince you to turn back!" Leo yelled.
"Hi! You made it!" Kylie said excitedly and hugged Vitani.
"Against my advice." Leo said.
"Quit worrying. Come on in." Kylie invited. Stepping aside.
"Nice house. Aww! Is this baby Kylie?" Klaus asked cutely. Vitani dragged
him along.
"Mom. Dad. These are my very special friends.
Vitani, Klaus and worry wart Leo." Kylie introduced them.
"Kylie has friends?" Raph asked. Kylie smacked his forehead with her palm.
"This is my annoyance of a brother, Raph. And my little shorty here is my baby brother Aries but we call him Ari for short." Kylie said as Ari hugged her leg.
"Well it's good to meet all of you. If you're hungry, dinner's in the dining room."
Malia said warmly.
"Mrs McCall, a job well done on this gem of yours, Kylie.
I see where she gets her beauty from." Klaus said.
"I tell my wife how beautiful she is all the time." Scott said.
"He's just being polite, Scott. Stop. So Vitani, it's good to see my daughter finally has a
girl friend. She always spends time around boys and you guys have met Eugene."
Malia said. "No friends until she was almost thirteen."
"I find that hard to believe. She's such a sweetheart." Klaus said. Kylie and Vitani started laughing.
"True. She is a sweetheart but she can come off a bit..." Malia tried to find the words.
"Rude." Raph said.
"Abrasive." Vitani added.
Then Ari babbled something no one understood.
"Yes. That." Malia said wiping Ari's face. The vampires picked at their food.
"Boy. Klaus or whatever. How old are you?" Scott asked.
"Um...do you want the real answer?" Klaus asked.
"No. Lie to me." Scott said sarcastically. Raph rubbed Kylie's back as she hung her head in shame.
"Okay. I'm 112."
Klaus admitted. They all looked at him.
"So you really are Vampires!" Malia said excitedly.
"How can you tell? He could be lying." Scott said.
"The fact that there is no heartbeat to listen to, to tell if he's lying must mean he's telling the truth." Malia said.
"See? I told you!" Kylie said.
"What other proof is there?" Scott asked. Vitani flashed her fangs. Everyone but Scott gushed and they talked the rest of the night.
By midnight they said they had to leave and Kylie walked her friends out.
"Well what do you think?" Kylie asked cutely.
"I love them. Your baby brothers are adorable.
Your mom is "Goals" as the kids say. Your dad..."
Vitani paused. "He's nice."
"He's not usually like that. It's just a shock because he's never met a real vampire before." Kylie explained.
"That's probably it." Vitani said before getting in the car.
"Adopt me? Or marry me. Whichever happens first." Klaus hopped in the passenger seat.
"Go go go!" Leo said urgently.
"Alright already! Bye Kylie." With that Vitani drove off with her friends and Kylie went back inside.
They made it all the way home and was about to woosh upstairs before anyone noticed but the Coven leader stood in their way.
"Back so soon?" Deacon asked. At that point Leo blurted out everything.
At which point the trio got scolded, flogged and warned.
"If I ever hear about you three twits around those dogs again, the consequences will be dire." Deacon warned.
"Understood." The three said and the master dismissed them. Klaus and Vitani took turns accosting Leo.
He was the first one up the next morning. Hoping to avoid his furious siblings.
Deacon wanted a word.
"Leonardo. I thank you for your candor this morning.
There's nothing I appreciate more than honesty." Deacon said in that cold, calm voice.
"Not a problem, sir. Now if you'd excuse me." Leo said.
"Of course but I would like to ask a favor of you." Deacon said softly. "Monitor Klaus and Vitani. Keep an eye on them and report back to me."
"You want me to spy on my friends?" Leo asked.
"Will that be a problem?" Deacon asked. Leo shook his head. "Good. So do that for me and go keep up appearances at School." Leo faked a smile and left. Running to school. Far too much time to think.
