"That was a good meal." Naruto groaned, holding his little food baby from tearing through his stomach. "I'm absolutely stuffed, believe it!"
"Yeah, it was pretty yummy." Saruko replied, gently rubbing a food baby of her own. A soft burp passed Naruto's lips, causing him to blush a bit and fan the air away.
"Sorry bout that."
"You should be." A small smirk found home on the girl's lips. "Because that was the weakest burp I've ever heard in my life."
The blond looked towards the slightly arrogant girl, walking down the scarcely populated street with her. "Is that the truth? I doubt someone like you could do any better, believe it!"
"Oh really? Watch and learn, Blondie." Stopping in her path, Saruko held up a finger as she prepared herself. After a minute, a loud and drawn out burp errupted out of the girl, shocking Naruto and anyone around them.
The blond all but dropped to his knees in the redhead's presence. "I have been outclassed by none other than the burp goddess."
Saruko rolled her eyes and nodded her head forwards. "Yeah, well you can worship me all you want later. Right now, I've got some errands to run before that toilet paper haired bastard comes hunting me down like a damn dog again."
"Alright...well, what do you need to do?" Naruto asked, simply to see if he could help.
"I need to shop for some clothes. What I'm wearing currently is what I have left, and I only wear this to train in." Naruto glanced at her outfit of bandages and shorts, nodding in understanding.
"Well, I don't know a lick bout fashion, but I know someone who does! Come on!" Naruto took Saruko's hand, dragging her down one of the many connective streets. The redhead, while being led along by the energetic blond, was simply shocked at his acceptance towards her.
'He knows who I am, and could probably guess all the things that I've done. And yet...he's kind, and he's not afraid to touch me without the intent to hurt. Is this...what its like to be accepted? I...I don't know. Do I even want to know?' A nearly invisible grin found its way onto her lips as Naruto began to call out to someone ahead of them.
"Hey, Sakura!! Come here a second!" The pink haired Genin turned her head away from a display, curling her nose up at the sight of the boy.
'It's Naruto again. Why can't he just leave me alone? Wait, is that Saruko with him? Since when did she wake up?' The two made their way over to Sakura, who crossed her arms and groaned a bit in distaste. "What is it now, Naruto?"
"Hiya, Sakura. Um, well, Saruko said that she needed to get some new clothes. So, uh, I thought that since she doesn't know the village, you could take her around and help her out! Since, ya know, you have a great style and everything, Sakura."
Sakura, who enjoyed the confidence boost, flipped back some of her long pink hair with a snarky grin. "Well, I am the best person for the job. I'll do it." She looked up to the stone faced redhead, a slight chills going up her spine. 'She's still super creepy. Like, she-could-rip-my-spine-out-at-any-moment-without-hesitation creepy.'
"Come on, Saruko. I know the perfect spot for us to shop." The pinkette waved at the sapphire eyed to follow her. After a brief goodbye to what she hoped was a new friend, Saruko trailed after the girl, following behind her in silence.
During the walk, Sakura tried her best to make small talk. However, Saruko wasn't really into the conversation as she observed her chaperone. 'I can tell she doesn't really like me. Every word seems forced and that smile could be on a doll for how real it was. Though, it's not like I can't give her points for trying.'
