It Rained

Kachiing.

" Thank you and please come again! " the cashier said as she handed me my change.

" Ahhh. That tastes good. " I said as I took a sip from my coffee and slowly left the store.

Note to self:

Buy coffee later. I can't right now because I really don't want to bring it at work. Feels weird, if you ask me.

vbrrr. vbrrr. vbrrr.

I felt my pocket vibrate as I took another sip from my coffee.

" I wonder if it's Skeith. "

Ok. I can't believe I just said that. Yesterday, before he confessed to me, I always thought that I would be contented with just being with my fan girls and enjoy all the pampering they did to me. But now, I don't even know if I'm still straight! Stupid Skeith.

Sadly, I can't check my phone because my hands are full. Sorry, Skeith, I guess you'll just have to wait for a while. Just a little more and I'll be in school. Just another turn.

Drip.

" Huh? " I was startled a bit as I saw a ripple form in my coffee.

Raindrop, was it a raindrop?

I looked up and slowly hundreds of them came down.

With in ten seconds it was already raining hard.

Crap.

Run!

When I was about to run, I heard an umbrella open behind me and in sync, the raindrops stopped dripping all over me. Naturally, I looked back. Behind me, a guy wearing my school's uniform was standing while holding a black umbrella. He raised it just above my head but didn't bother to cover himself.

" Hey there! Good thing I caught you on time. " Skeith said with a big grin.

" Skeith, you idiot. You're wet! " I cried through the rain. I dropped my coffee as I pulled his body towards shelter in a hugging position.

" You're cold and shivering. " I whispered as I hugged him even tighter.

He looked at me and tried to smile his best, " It's alright. As long as you're fine. "

I felt his weight rest against my body, " Skeith... Skeith...? Skeith?! "

" You're burning with fever! " I exclaimed as I touched his forehead.

" Sho-should I take you home? "

No reply. I guess I should take him home.

" ID, where's his ID? " I furiously searched for his ID in his bag.

231-B, Cherry St., Waffle Village.

Huh? But this isn't in the same area that I'm living in. Heck, it's practically in the opposite direction! If we're going to school then there'd be no chance of us bumping into each other. Don't tell me he purposely went in my area even though he's already passed by the school just to save me from the rain. Idiot, you're such an idiot sometimes, Skeith.

" Hey... I want to go to school. Just drop me off in the infirmary. " I heard Skeith say.

" Are you sure? "

" Yeah. "

With his request, I quickly carried him at my back and dashed towards the school. Luckily, it wasn't that far from where we were standing.

As I entered the school premises, I could feel every student's gaze fixed in our direction but I didn't care. Skeith's safety was more important to me.

" Skeith, hang in there. " I said a bit out of breath.

My vision, why is it all fuzzy and doubled? Am I in the verge of fainting? I can't! I have to save Skeith first! Damn body, listen to me! Just a few more steps and I'm at the infirmary already. Just a few more.

THUD.

Before I could open the doors, everything went black.
