Married By Accident - Sequel

Chapter 4

Today is Daniel's birthday, he's 26 years old, Sebastian is 2 weeks old, and I'm up to my eye balls in arranging for people to come over for a little party. He said he doesn't wanna make a big deal out turning 26 but a birthday is a birthday and to me, it has to be celebrated even a little bit. I have his parents, Adam, Lee, Alex, my mum and Matthew coming over for a few hours.

"Daniel, have you finished making those sandwiches?" I ask as I lay Sebastian on his baby mat.

"Yeah, I just hope it's enough, although I told you not to do any of this" He says as he comes through with some plates of sandwiches.

"I want you to have a great day, it's your first birthday as a dad, and you're only 26 once" I say as he goes back to the kitchen.

"We could have just gone out for a meal instead, you know, that dinner and night to ourselves you suggested doing" He says as he comes back with bowls of crisps.

"That's for another time ok, I wanna celebrate your birthday with our son, friends and family around us" I say as he stands still facing me.

"Remind me who's coming over" He says.

"Adam, Lee, Alex, my mum, your parents and Matthew" I tell him for the 3rd time.

"My parents are coming over?" He asks.

"Yeah, I've told you this 3 times now, you can't stay mad at them forever, and not for the attempt of the arranged marriage, we are married anyway, and I'm sure they want nothing more than to be part of your life and their grandson's life" I explain and he sighs.

"Ok fine, but if they step out of line at all, they're gone" He says and kisses my cheek and disappears again. I go back to Sebastian who has fallen asleep on his mat, he looks so cute, no wonder he's asleep, he had us up about 5 times in the night, twice for a feed, twice for a change and the last time, we put him in our bed again and he slept through from 5:30am until 8am, that boy knows a comfy bed. There's someone at the door, I jump up and answer it, Daniel's parents.

"Hey Katie" His dad says.

"Hello Louie, hello Dee, how are you both?" I ask as I let them in.

"We are great thanks darling, can't believe my boy is 26 today, nor can I believe we get to meet our grandson today, sorry we couldn't meet him sooner, but Ireland was great for the month we were there" Dee says.

"I'm glad to hear you had a great time, and I know your little grandson wants to meet you both" I say.

"And what about Daniel? Is he happy to be seeing us?" Louie asks.

"Louie, not today honey, today is about being there for Daniel, not tormenting him" Dee tells him off.

"It's ok Dee, I think he's happy to see you, he's just a little bit, you know, hoping everything goes ok after what happened between you" I say.

"Hey mum, hi dad" Daniel says as he comes over to us.

"Hello sweetheart" Dee says giving him a hug and kiss on the cheek.

"Alright son?" Louie asks.

"I'm great dad, today has started off great, I have my beautiful wife, amazing gorgeous son, and my loved ones going to be around me" Daniel answers as he hand shakes with Louie while hugging him.

"That's great son, so when are you back to work?" Louie asks.

"A month I go back" He says.

"Anyway, where's that grandson for us to meet?" Dee asks.
