Chapter 13

So I am 2 weeks pregnant! That's all that has been on my mind since I found out at 9 this morning, it's now 3:30 pm, Sebastian has been asleep since 2:30 but when Daniel gets back, which should be soon, I'll get Sebastian up. I've done the cleaning around the house and thought of every way that I could tell Daniel I'm pregnant, which I guess it doesn't matter how I tell him, it matters the reaction he has.

"Babe I'm back" I hear Daniel come in.

"Hey handsome, how was work today?" I ask from the living room sofa.

"It was good, the lad who had that detention yesterday came to see me during break today and told me how sorry he was for what happened, he said it wouldn't happen again, how has your day been?" He asks as he sits next to me.

"Erm, well, I went out to the shops today just after you left for work, then I came back and played with Sebastian, did some housework, put Sebastian down for a nap and now I'm sat here" I say.

"What did you go to the shops for?" He asks.

"Well.." I say and start chuckling nervously.

"Sweet, what's going on?" He asks and he moves his sitting position to more in front of me.

"Well, when you mentioned that me being mad last night was like I was on my period cause it was due-" He interrupts me.

"What do you mean 'it WAS due'?" He asks.

"I realised I was late, I got 3 tests and took them" I say, I pass him a box that has all 3 tests in, he looks at me and opens the box, he takes all the tests out and looks at them carefully. I can't stop staring at him, trying to see what reaction he has, but all he does is open his mouth a little as he stares at the tests, after the longest few seconds ever he finally looks up at me.

"You're 2 weeks pregnant?" He asks without taking his eyes off mine, all I can do is nod yes.

"All 3 tests confirm 2 weeks pregnant" I say as more of a whisper. He looks back down at the tests.

"Well I'm not gonna lie, I'm really surprised by this, I mean, we planned to have Sebastian, but we didn't plan another baby for a couple of years" He says.

"Are you mad?" I ask nervously, he looks up at me in half a millisecond.

"What?! No! Of course I'm not, I had a part to this too, I'm not mad at all babe, you're pregnant, not cheating on me" He says not looking away from me. "Come here" He says and pulls me into the most comforting hug ever.

"I worked out that we conceived in April, I didn't know how to feel about this, how do you feel?" I ask, he lets go of me from the hug.

"I'm excited, I'm happy, I'm just surprised as well" He says.

"So am I" I say and sigh. We hear Sebastian, he must be awake then, I go to get up and tend to him but Daniel stops me.

"I'll go, you stay here and relax, I have something to tell you when I get back with Seb" Daniel says as he gets up, he kisses me on the cheek and goes up. Well that went better than I expected, I think, I don't really know what I expected, but it went well anyway. I wonder what he is going to tell me? I hear him coming down the stairs.

"What do you want to tell me?" I ask curiously.

"Bare with me a second babe" He says as he puts Sebastian in his play ring that he sits in.

"He's gonna make so much noise with that" I say chuckling. Daniel sits by me again.

"Yeah, um, I called Emily while at work, I have arranged to meet her later tonight and I told her the plan to put her in a hotel" He says.
