Chapter 8

Daniel's POV

It's the following morning and I've just got to work, it's nearly school time, I make my way to my room to prepare my stuff and I am surprised to see the Principle in the room.

"Principle Perkins, good morning" I say as I walk in.

"Morning Daniel, how are you?" He asks as he walks to the front of the room.

"I'm great, thanks" I say as I turn on my computer.

"Good, but I'm afraid I'm about to ruin the morning for you" He says, I look up at him and frown.

"What's happened now sir?" I ask confused.

"Well, last night, I received a call from Kaylie's mother, Kaylie told her what happened when she got to the hospital, her mother wants you sacked, I've told her to come in this morning and we'll sort this out, I need you to be present" He explains.

"But, I thought it was all sorted yesterday, Kaylie said she wanted to forget about it all" I point out.

"Yes, but she had to tell her mother how she ended up in hospital, her mother thinks she's trying to save your job, let's go to my office, they should be here now" He says. Great! Just what I need, let's hope this works out for the better for me. We both walk to his office where we find Kaylie and her mum waiting outside.

"You pedo! You touch my daughter and make her tell me it was her fault?! I want you sacked!" Her mum says as we go into the office.

"I appreciate how you must be feeling, but Kaylie barely remembers what happened because she was dosed on ecstasy, and what she does remember, is the same as what Daniel has told us" Perkins says.

"Mum, just leave it ok, Mr Radford did nothing wrong, I told you, I'm not covering up for him, we're telling you the truth!" Kaylie says.

"Wait, you just said she was dosed up on ecstasy, what is that about? Kaylie doesn't take drugs" Her mother says. Kaylie told her everything other than she was dosed on ecstasy?!

"You told her everything but the fact that some students made you put ecstasy in your system? No wonder she thinks I'm to blame and that I'm telling you to keep quiet" I say trying to stay calm.

"I forgot about that" Kaylie says.

"You forgot? The ecstasy is what put you in hospital Kaylie, it's what made you try and seduce me, you were trying to kiss me and then you collapsed, because of the drugs" I say with my voice getting a little louder.

"Daniel, stay calm, you raising your voice isn't helping" Perkins says.

"Yesterday I nearly faced losing my job, could have faced losing my wife and baby son who I love with all my heart and soul, and now today I'm just about facing losing my job again, all because Kaylie 'forgot' to mention to her mother that some people gave her ecstasy, and you're telling me to stay calm?!" I say almost shouting.

"Sir, I am sorry ok, mum, just leave it, the school are working on the whole situation, Mr Radford didn't do anything wrong, leave him and his job alone, please, I just want to forget all this that has happened, I'm getting bullied enough without adding me getting a great teacher fired, if that happens and it could happen if you don't stop this, you don't even care about me, you just like making a scene" Kaylie says.

"If I hear that you have touched my daughter in any way, then I'll make sure you lose your job" Her mother says.

"Kaylie, you just said you mum doesn't care about you, what's going on?" Perkins asks.
