"Sorry I'm late."

Mrs. Finch looked at the blonde with squinted eyes, a thoughtful look plastered all over her face. The hoodie over her head helped in no way from the battles outside, leaving leaves to poke out from certain places of her hair as if she was using them as treatment for her blonde locks. The teacher decided to let her free from a detention for now, but made sure to remind her various health precautions as the drenched girl made her way to her seat.

"You should never leave the house without an umbrella anymore, the weather is starting to get stranger, global warming is really real, kids." She pointed to the outside where rain were sprinkling on the glass windows, the pavement refleacting the sky's ash grey colour and dark clouds, leaves following the movement of the wind, flying around the sky, making it look like they were falling from the sky.

As if Pocahontas was there to guide them while she teaches them the colours of the wind.

"Are you alright?" Jade quickly got tissue from her well organized bag and handed it over to the blonde who ran half way to school in the pouring rain, her dream of flying almost coming true as the wind today was practically capable of blowing someone off to Canada. "Why do you keep walking in the rain without any sort of protection?"

"I didn't walk the whole way here. I was on my bike, and the road got too slippery, so I decided to just run it. And besides, I'll just fly away like Mary Poppins if I brought one."

The smaller girl was too focused on sliding off her parka to listen to the blonde's Disney reference, placing it over the shivering blonde's figure to try and keep her warm, straightening her school blouse that clanged on the little curves she had, the school's black tie covering the slight openings of buttons that supposedly covered her breast, her caramel hair tied up in a messy and hurried bun, big chucky glasses perched on her button nose, jaw line carved to perfection for everyone to see.

It made the blonde's breath hitched in her throat, constructing a tight barrier that prevented the big chestnut lump on her throat from sinking.

"Take care of this, and remember to give it back to me tomorrow." Her thoughts went away, well, was forced away from her brain, distracted by the brunette's grin. A feeling heated up in her abdomen, she hated it but kinda have a huge liking for it at the same time. "I thought you weren't going to let anyone touch this anymore, I swear you even called it your freaking ba- Wait... Are you drunk?"

Her face voice came out louder than Jade thought it was going to be, noticeable ears perking up at the seats infront, their minds triggering at the words, anything better than Mrs. Flinch's 'Take care of yourselves with these groud rules we learned at third grade' lectures.

Jade aggressively smacked her on the arm, "No, I'm not. Don't get your hopes up." The brunette replied, making sure that everyone who was earwigging on their conversation heard her clearly, shoulders slouching and attentions were back to the teacher.

"Well, I won't be surprised if you were, I've seen your dad's alcohol shelf before."

"My father's collection cost more than plane tickets to every country in the whole world, I don't think I would even dare to open one."

"Well yeah, it's probably more expensive than the salary I will have in the future, combined."

Jade rolled her eyes.

"God, look at that wind." Her blue irises did obey and travelled to the window, hearing the howling wind and bangs of the window, as if someone was physically pounding on the glass surface, a bit worrying for the students sat beside them. She then noticed the wedge of the door slowly giving in. It was certainly wasn't this strong five minutes before she came in class. The worry seeping through her veins distracted her from hearing Jade's complaints about not being able to handle a sober dad that hated his life if he's shelves of scotch did break.
