This is the story about a half angel, half demon child born from the most powerful connection of love.
A beautiful angel was sitting among the clouds, holding one of the flowers that was one of few that grew in her world. Looking down to the deepest darkest pit, looking farther over the cloud. Nia's sparkling golden eyes looked further down, reflecting the shiny light right outside of the dark pit. Her wings expanded out as she thought it wouldn't hurt to roam around down there.
The angel with golden eyes flapped her pearly white wings down to the edge of the dark hole on a piece of land. Resting on her forearms laying on her stomach she looked deeper down. Nia thought the dark pit was calming, not always blinding your eyes and overheating you. Her mom would prevent her from coming down from the clouds, but when her mother napped she always snuck down, admiring the home of demons. Although she believed that all demons were pure evil, thus raised that way it was only natural.
Many tales were told to her when she was a toddler. Demons lighting the only land they had, and having the angels move up to the clouds, and the demons living in the deep pit they burned. That's just how it was. Angels were kind, gentle, and forgiving, while Demons were well... the opposite. Nia was 16 when she met a demon herself by chance. This demon spat in her golden eyes and cursed at her, bickering while scraping it's way back down to the pit, growling for her never to return. She cried while she flew her way back up, being comforted by her mother, and persuaded it wasn't her fault and that she hadn't done anything wrong. "Remember Nia, you'll grow up to marry a beautiful angel man, with the biggest most stunning wings, that cares for the people and is the most angelic angel in your eyes," her mother always said to cheer Nia up.
But Nia's tale had different turns. She grew two years and learned to forgive the demon that spat in her eyes and cursed. She eventually grew to think that they deserved more, being cooped up all in the dark, bitter to each other. For all she knew none of them probably had friends cause of their attitudes. So, once again, she flew her pearly white wings down to the edge of the dark pit.
But what she saw was different this time. A demon was climbing alongside the dark pit, playfuly chasing a yellow butterfly, laughing. The sight made Nia smile the brightest, and when she did so the demon noticed and got frightened. The male demon hid in a shadow of the dark pit, alarmed that an angel heard him laugh. "O-oh, i'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you!" Nia apologized quickly, realizing she had startled the demon. The creature poked its head out from the dark. Dull beady eyes peeked out from the shadow looking up at Nia, startled. It was as if the demon was seeing an angel for the first time. As the demon looked, the yellow butterfly he was chasing earlier landed in the angels long white hair. The slight waves in Nia's hair made it look like the yellow butterfly was dancing on fluffy clouds. The demon slowly came over to where Nia sat, taking caution. Nia stuck her finger out as the butterfly wrapped its legs around it delicately. As the demon was in front of Nia looking at the butterfly that was perched on her delicate finger, it flew away up to the clouds. The demon and angel watched as the butterfly became smaller than a speck of dust, and vanished in the clouds. Nia stuck out her hand slowly, inviting the demon up to sit with her. The demon took her hand hesitantly and sat next to the angel.
The male demon looked Nia up and down, noticing her stunning wings. The demon frowned looking at his bat like wings, giant horns sticking out at top. "I'm Nia. What's your name?" The demon was shy and didn't speak much. "R-Ravano Loah..." the demon did not look that much older than Nia, after they introduced each other they shook hands. After that day, they kept on meeting each other every other day.
"Ravano!" Nia always merely whispered into the dark pit, soon seeing him appear. Demons had great hearing, and could hear everything from miles away. They could do so from listening to the echos in the dark pit, many sacrificial whispers going on about. Ravano became the most talkative and happy when he was beside Nia, and treated her like she was the meaning of life. As they grew closer to each other they started to slowly grow feelings towards each other. When Ravano had matured into a fine young man and Nia was a stunning angel, Ravano confessed his feelings towards Nia. But it didn't go all as perfectly planned.
"NIA!" The angel mother shouted so loud from above in the clouds. The sudden loud noise made Ravano's pointy ears start to bleed and made Nia jump. The angel grew more anxious the closer her mother came flying down. The mother angel stomped her way to the demon and looked into his beady eyes. "Filthy demon," she spat. "Nia, my dear come back up to the clouds. Do not love this demon with no heart in his chest. He has no soul my dear, you will find a more loving man up above where the light shines upon all of our faces. I'm begging you my dear Nia, come back to me. Come back home." The mother angel was full of tears streaming down her face. "Mother... I can't. This demon is different. This demon smiles, laughs, and he makes my skies brighter than up in the clouds. I feel comfortable with him mother. No angel can please me up in the clouds, trying to impress me with their wings or good looks. This demon has a heart, a golden one." Nia looked up at Ravano, taking both of his hands in hers. Blood from his hands that were used to cover up his ears didn't disturb Nia in the slightest. He couldn't be more perfect in her eyes. And the same way went for Ravano. Nia's eyes were the light that he saw above the deep dark pit, and when he climbed up he saw the world in a whole new way.
Lana looked up at her daughter and cried even more. Noticing she couldn't break apart their love, she gave her blessings to them being together. "You've grown into such a beautiful young woman Nia. I'm happy to say you are my daughter. I'm also happy that you have a man that admired you with all his heart. I am sorry for my sinful words, forgive me." And with that Lana flew happily back up into the clouds, smiling down at both of them, until she became another small dot among the clouds.
A year later Nia and Ravano were expecting a child to be born. They already had a name set out for the baby boy that was to be expected any day now. The three family members met on a piece of land, where they were safe from the judgement on both clouds and underground. Everything was going well until Nia collapsed screaming in pain. "I think it's time..." Nia managed to mutter enduring all the pain. Her skin complexion went a grey color as she fainted on the piece of land they stood. Her skin was icy cold and no longer warm from the sun. "NIA!" Ravano caught the falling angel and held her hand tightly, sweating violently as he watched his sun collapse. They both didn't know what was happening to Nia, because well, there was never such thing as a half angel half demon child born. "Make it stop!" Lana screamed watching her daughter turn a grey-blue. "Ravano... rip of one of your horns... please.." Nia managed to heavily breathe out. Ravano did as his love pleased, no matter how painful it was. One of the horns on his head was ripped off with no hesitance for her. As soon as the sharp horn was ripped from Ravano's head, Nia stabbed her stomach an ripped it open. Ravano and Lana panicked as all of the angel's blood flooded the piece of land. The angel started to cry tears of sadness and joy, managing a sweet smile on her face.
" Take care of Casper for me."
Nia's body stiffened as her golden eyes stopped to shine brightly. Her body lay there blue, clothes and white hair stained in dark red blood.
~waaaaaaaa waaaaaaaaa waaaaaa~
Ravano hesitantly scooped the baby from the torn stomach. A beautiful baby boy with the dark beady eyes of his father's, but the shine that was once in his mother's eyes. Pale hair as blank as paper, both wings of feathers but one was colored black with a horn on top.
And that is the tale of how Casper Loah was born.
