A few months seemed to pass by during the time she spend over with Casper. Opal looked down at her watch to see it had stopped moving completely. Well, there goes keeping track of normal time on Earth.
"You know the time moves more quickly here right?" Caper walks in, warm meal in hand. "How so?" Opal looked up a bit taken back. "Well, this might shock you, but planet Jukla is the most fast time passing planet in the entire galaxy as we know so far. I've read plently of books from other planets that I've managed to sneak out of the capitol, what planet are you from Opal?" Casper looked up at the girl, big dark eyes begging the answer. Although Casper's eyes were fully black, with no white lined around them, they seemed to shine as bright as the sun no matter what; That's what Opal liked best about the angelic boy. "I'm from Earth. Have you read about it?"
"OF COURSE!!!" Casper jumps up his eyes twinkling even brighter if that was even possible. "Ahh, I loved the flowers that were illustrated in the book, they were so lovely! I wonder what they smell like in real life! My favorite flowers are Magnolias, they're so beautiful. Lavenders are especially magical. Maple trees as well!" Casper continued to gush out about how great planet Earth was, as he made Opal realize how beautiful her planet really was. "Yeah, I guess it is a pretty amazing planet haha...I should've observed it's beauty more..." Opal looked down at the floor guiltily. "So... back on track about the time here compared to Earth?" Opal gazed down at her broken watch. "Oh, yes, sorry I was so surprised you came from the most beautiful planet in my eyes... well, basically to sum the time comparisons from planet Jukla and Earth..." Casper rubbed his chin and scrunched his translucent white eyebrows together.
"Approximately each month that passes in Jukla time, 100 years pass in time on Earth."
The words that came from his mouth were short and blunt. Opal raised her eyebrows and felt as if her eyeballs were going to fall out any second, due to opening them so wide. "One hu-" Opal stood up. "Well then if a month does pass that would mean I would be dead by about now or maybe like 50 years old in Earth time!" Casper grabbed her shoulders and sat her back down on the bed. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. You don't have any family back there, do you?" Casper felt a bit guilty flat out telling her the time differences like that so casually. Opal looks up at Casper, only a few inches apart from his face "No." Casper steps back immediately feeling his face turn fire red. Opal watched as it was too obvious on his pale skinned complexion and laughed it off. Maybe he's just a bit shy towards new people Opal assumed as she walked to the kitchen to grab her meal. she came back to the room not long after. Some sort of meat soup? Opal had to assume, since animals here were different than on Earth. "Well, at least I'm glad that you're so passionate about my planet," Opal smiled looking up at the guy. "Maybe we'll get to visit it again together," Casper looked down at Opal and put on the happiest smile.
"Yeah, I'd like that."
Opal looked Caper directly in the eye. "Which planet do you come from? If you don't mind me asking, that is." Casper looked at Opal with a smile. "Well, lucky for you I remember where I come from. It's a far away planet called Uana. The people there live among the clouds and fly from place to place. I remember seeing many of the angels there fly. I was always jealous of their pure white wings, they looked so symmetrical. My mom was the prettiest angel though." Opal smiled at Casper, "Do you remember what she looks like?" Casper looked away. "I don't remember her at all... as a matter of fact I never met her. She died after she gave birth to me due to my problem.. but my grandma told me she was the prettiest, and I believe her. The way my nana described to me was that she had golden eyes that shined like the sun, and a smile that lit up the skies! Her hair was the same color as mine, but with a pink sunset tint to it. I think I saw her in one of my dreams before," Casper smiled thinking back on that dream. "I've read in books that my planet doesn't have much to offer like your planet does with the millions of different flowers, so to me it seems pretty boring. A planet with no pretty flowers is a planet not to live on. Or so in my opinion. On my planet we also have an underworld, but unlike your planet, it's real. That's where this black wing came from." Casper pointed to his black colored wing, with a horn growing on the top corner. "My Nana has saved me from making any other bad choices, and said if I do so I will become more of a demon. I came into Uana with this black wing though, but that's what I got to hold my parent's sin. An angel is forbidden to be with a demon on my planet. But my dad in my moms eyes had a heart of gold the same color. They fell in love, and due to the pain she had to pass on. My dad coudn't bear live a world without her so gave himself up to have his soul tapped in a place worse than hell forever. He told me it was best, and that I have to become a very good boy so the same won't happen to me."
Opal stood up and gave Casper a hug. Tears started to drip out of his dark shimmering eyes as the memories recoiled themselves. His head sunk onto Opal's shoulder as she pet his paper white hair. Opal felt pity towards Casper, having to endure all the pain at a young age, and not to mention all alone for these years, not even spending tie with his only family still alive, his Nana.
But no matter how many billions of years passed back on her home planet, she was determined to give Casper the path that made him most happy in life. And for her twin brother's to live happily, and live their lives to the fullest. Opal wanted all of them to be the most happy in life, that's only what these good people deserved!
She wanted them all to be happy, even if she wasn't there by their sides.
