Held Captive

Her greatness stepped up from her throne, and down the steps. "What beautiful eyes you have!" She shrieked running up towards Opal to get a closer look at them. "Jonith you have done a great job this time, and we didn't even have to locate her! She practically begged to come here and be held captive like a lost baby sheep! How foolish." Lady Leatha spat in Opal's face. "I mean, for a mere human girl to be this smart is quite dangerous...but I'll make sure you never leave this place unharmed..." Lady Leatha gave a gaze as cold as ice as she circled slowly around Opal. Her towering figure casting the illusion that she was 3x as tall. "Now tell me, what possibly gave you the inspiration to seek us? Oh wait, your speech already said that. Have we taken something precious from you?" Leatha whispered into Opal's ear, making her hair spike all over her body. Opal nods. "Oh my dear, that must have been quite a tragedy... but the thing I question most is why would you go searching for them? Most family members loose all hope when their poor little toddlers are stolen away." Leatha pouted mischievously. "What they best not know about is what I do with them, but that's top secret!" Opal flinched. How dare she. Opal crossed her fingers that her brothers had found a way to possibly escape out of this Capitol, but they were only mere toddlers back then, and probably wouldn't know how. "Cage 187," were all the words Her Greatness had to say for Opal to be stolen away, only after catching the eye of two people that resembled some people she knew.

"Stay here and don't do anything stupid." Guards threw her in a room labeled with the number 187 on top. A red wall locked her in the room, with nothing but the same blazing blocking a window. She tried to touch it but it then shocked her. "Ow!" she yelped, as the guards walked off smirking. And that reminded her about the vibrant red hair she saw...it couldn't be. They would be at least in their pre-teen years, and not look like they were in their twenty's. Yeah, it wouldn't be one of them. I mean anyone can have that red hair, though it's pretty rare. Opal fell asleep on the cold floor, encased in darkness.

Opal squints at a light floating through the air. who could it be?  She thought. She squinted through the glowing red wall. A high-tech looking torch was being held by an older man. She couldn't really tell What the color of his skin or features were. The man looked human, the same species as her. Maybe one of Lady Leatha's exotic collection? But he was wearing a suit almost similar to what she remembered the man she saw in the throne room wearing. The man was very close to the red wall. As he came closer and closer Opal could see his features better. One eye was foggy, the other looked normal. Under his right eye were two lines, one bigger and the one on the inside smaller. A metal crown lined with the red wire that surrounded this place was gripped around his head but curled up at the start of the front of the forehead. One side of his hair longer than the other side. A suit that exposed most of his chest and looked very high tech, and he was only approx a foot taller than Opal.

Before she knew it tears where streaming down her face. The resemblance to one of her brothers seemed too real, and to think she wasn't dreaming. "P-P-Please don't cry! Is the light too bright for your eyes? Have I done something rude to offend your people? I'm sorry please don't cry!" The man hurriedly whispered getting anxious about if he had done something to offend the person held captive. "I just...wanted to get a closer look you know? I get a weird feeling that I've met you before, but Lady Leatha told me that you came from another world so it was impossible to have. I mean I was raised here and found abandoned on the streets when I was a child here and Her Greatness was too kind as to take me in and treat me with nothing but love and care. I couldn't ever have known you right?"  Opal fell silent, tears never ending, almost as wild as a waterfall. "Right?" The man whispered growing anxious. He held up his hand to the glowing red wall and tilted his head in confusion. Opal wanted to kill somebody and jump for joy at the same time. "Ash?" Opal said looking up with her swollen eyes, drenched with fresh tears. The man backed away immediately after that one name.

"How do you know my name?"
