((Y/n)'s POV)

I didn't realize how scared I was until Roy calmed me down

"I won't leave until you've calmed down," Roy said, still holding me close

"Thank you," I responded

I calmed down and my eyes weren't red anymore

"Ready to meet your new team?" Roy said, pulling away from me with his classic smirk

"Yea, let's go," I said standing up

Roy was holding my hand until he stood up. He let go as I opened my door and walked out towards his office. It was a silent walk, we walked together, side by side. Oh God do I look like a mess? Play it cool play it cool, you got this, it'll be fine. Roy and I made it finally to his team room

"Wait here, I'll come and get you in a minute," he said as he went inside

"Yes sir,"

I sat down on one of the chairs nearby when someone approached me... it was... No... it... this can't be... please tell me this a nightmare

"Hello? Miss?" the child asked "Are you Ms.(Y/l)?"

"I am, why? And what are you doing in here?" I asked him, and I looked to the Fuhrer walking over to us

I stood up and saluted

"I see you've met Selim Lt. Colonel," he said

"Yes sir, and he looks like he'll be just like his dad to," I said, trying not to sound to scared

"Well, we best be off, looks like you have a meeting with the Colonel,"

"Goodbye sir, and good bye Selim,"

I sat back down to catch my breath. Just then I heard the door open and a white glove gestured for me to come closer, I swatted at it and mumbled

"Sorry pardon that Lt. Colonel,"

"I only needed the door being opened sir, not a hand that appear with no owner,"

"(L/n), meet Breda, Feury, Falman, Hawkeye, and Havoc. Welcome to the team (L/n),"

"Oh, um... nice to meet you all..." I looked down, I wasn't used to talking to many people

A piece of hair fell in front of my face, I saw the blonde woman come up and place her hands on my shoulders

"Don't worry, stick with me, and they won't bother you with their childish behaviour," Hawkeye said

I smiled, happy to know I already had 2 friends in the team. I sat down next to Feury and Falman. When I heard a dog in the room Wait... A dog? Who brings a dog to a military base?

"Dog! There's nothing protecting us! Run for your lives!" Breda shouts running out of the room, down the hall and out the doors of the command centre

What is he talking about?

Just then there was a flash of black and white, and a puppy sat there staring up at us

"Care to explain this one Falman?" Hawkeye asked

"Er sure, it is a dog a member of the wolf family, I think its sci-" Falman answered

"That's not what I meant Falman, you need to loosen up,"

"Yes sir, Lt. Hawkeye,"

Oh great... This is gonna be interesting, say Roy should be back soon... he went on coffee break an hour ago... where is he

"Oh, sorry, I found him on the street and wanted to take him in but my dorms don't allow pets," Feury said

"I could take him, I heard that dogs are good when they are stir-fried," Havoc says

"I think we should find a better home for him," Hawkeye glares at him

"I was kidding!"

Just then the Colonel walks in and sees the dog

Oh boy... here he goes... again

I sigh and everyone but Mustang looks at me, I hold up 3 fingers

"Dog huh?" Mustang starts

I hold up two fingers... then one and point to Mustang

"I love dogs!"

"Really?" Feury looked so happy

"Of course! Dogs embody loyalty! They follow their masters command above all else be a jerk to them and not once do they beg for a pay-check! Trust me Feury! Dogs are the great servants of man! Loyal canine how thee sault thee" Mustang started to swing the poor dog around

"Yea, no give me the dog Mustang, before it ends up in the wall," he hands me the dog "I can't take him, as much as I would love to, because someone else here went nuts over him

"I'll take him," Hawkeye said

"Really? Thats awesome!" Feury was happy at last

"Wait, (Y/l), what do mean that Mustang went nuts and you can't take him?" Havoc asked

"Because we both live in apartments, in the same building, that's why," I responded

Mustang leaned next to me and whispered; "Nice save,"

I bonked him on the head and went back to my work. Everyone was staring in awe that I had bonked the Colonel on the head and acting like nothing happened

"I-I only do that..." Hawkeye said suprised

"Nope... she does that... a lot... when she's mad at me..." Mustang groaned

"Touch me at work again and it'll be my boot next time,"

"Well, we have a mission, next week anyways. Hawkeye, (Y/l), my office. Now," Mustang commanded after standing up

"Yes sir," Hawkeye and I both followed him to his office

"So, you both have chosen this path even what happened in Ishval," Mustang said as he sat down

"Yes sir," I said, a quick flash of what happened in that war when all three of us were Privates

"Yes sir, if the world truly operates based on the principles of equivalent exchange, then us soldiers have a lot to give back. If this world is meant to prosper, then it is our duty to carry the bodies of the dead to cross a river of blood to their resting place," Hawkeye told us, Roy had a focused look in his eyes and I just looked at her, a little shock in my eyes 

"From now on, I'm assigning you both to my assistant. I have a feeling I can trust you both to watch my back," Roy said, face unmoved and relaxed as he stood up "Although, I expect you to understand what this means. You'll be able to shoot me in the back as well, if I ever deviate from this path, I want you to shoot me. And I'm trusting you both to do so, it doesn't matter who it is, just do it. Do you accept my offer?"

"Of course I do sir," Hawkeye replied

"Of course I do sir, I'll follow into hell if you ask me to," This time it was Roy and Hawkeyes turn to look surprised "Is that all sir?"

"Yes, you both are dismissed,"
