Gritting her teeth, Drew immediately presses her back to the wall, ensuring that she can't be seen from the window. You'd think that being a special agent and working for the government, she'd have the skills to go back upstairs undetected.
She's currently in her grey joggers and a white T shirt stained with coffee (And by that, I mean the whole T shirt looks like it has been dyed a different colour.) Yes, it's the middle of the afternoon but she still hasn't got dressed yet. She had come down for a snack and as she was walking back from the kitchen with a bowl of nachos, someone decided to knock on the door. It would be embarrassing for anyone to see her like this. I think she'd rather die, which is why she hid.
So here she is, waiting for the person stood on her front porch to scurry away. Whoever is at the door seems rather persistant. If it's important, they can always come back later. She just wants to go back upstairs to binge watch her TV series' already.
After a short period of silence, she hears footsteps getting more and more distant. She smiles to herself and goes upstairs to continue with her show.
~A short while later~
"I'm coming. Will you stop with the knocking. We're on the phone for goodness sake, there's no need to knock!" She scolds Finn.
A moment of silence lingers in the atmosphere before she starts making her way down the stairs.
"Drew. I'm still driving. That's not me at your door." He laughs. "You better hurry and open it."
Curious to know who was at her door at eight in the evening, she strides towards the door. Swinging the door open, she's met with an all too familiar face.
Those piercing eyes looking into hers and the same posture; A silhouette leaning against the door frame. But instead of a mischevious smirk, a forced smile appeared on those lips of his.
"Finn... I'll call you back." She manages to choke out as she ends the call.
~Flashback~
"Drew, please go and scare away the new guy." Finn pleads.
Drew pokes around her salad using a fork. "And how exactly am I supposed to do that?"
"Well, you have a tendency of scaring off guys whenever you speak to them." He says, earning him a kick from Drew underneath the table.
"So, what are we talking about?" Skylar questions, seating herself next to Finn with her lunch tray.
Finn turns his head to the side, facing Skylar. "How the new guy over there won't stop glaring at Drew here." Drew shakes her head and rolls her eyes. "It's been a week and I still can't eat my lunch without them both eye-"
"He's probably not even staring at me. He might have the hots for you." Drew cuts him off. "It wouldn't be the first time someone's mistaken you for being gay."
Skylar is doubled over in laughter as she looks at Drew who wears a triumphant smirk on her face.
Finn stands up with a serious expression. "That's it. I'm gonna go and confess your undying attraction for this fella." This makes Skylar and Drew exchange glances before watching Finn go and join the stranger.
Knowing that she's too late to stop him from leaving, Drew stands and walks over to join them both at the lunch table. Skylar adds Drew's salad that she left behind to her lunch tray before she follows, wanting to keep up with the drama.
"Hi. I'm Drew and this is Skylar." She says when she sees Skylar also appear at the lunch table. Drew is currently seated next to Finn and across from Skylar, who lifts the salad off her tray and places it in front of Drew.
The stranger's sharp emerald eyes and perfectly gelled hair is making Drew feel uneasy.
The stranger reaches out his hand to Drew. "Reve." Drew tries to meet his hand whilst still gazing into his eyes and taking in his features, unfortunately, her hand meets his coffee cup and she manages to spill coffee all over his white T shirt.
Drew gasps. "Oh my God. I'm so sorry." She tries finding a tissue packet in her bag. Finn and Skylar are attempting to hold back their laughter.
"It's okay. Good job it's not too hot" Reve gives out a forced laugh "I should... Probably leave and get cleaned up." Reve stands up, dismissing himself from the awkwardness. "It was nice meeting you anyway." He turns to them all before pacing off in a different direction with coffee still dripping down his T shirt.
Finn nudges Drew against her shoulder. "Didn't I tell you that you would scare him off?" Drew frowns and looks to Skylar for support.
"He's right." Skylar shruggs. Drew sighs, moved her salad to Finn's place and banging her head against the table.
