"You think I should tell everyone I'm still alive?" Reve questioned.
"Yes." Drew clarified. "At least tell Logan. He's still grieving over you and I just feel so guilty."
In a dilema, Reve finally shook his head. "I can't. Believe me, I want to. Until we find who wants me dead, I have to keep it this way."
"I just want you back." Drew whispered. "Properly, this time. I want to be with you out in the open. I'm tired of the lies."
Reve understood how Drew was feeling. "Trust me, I want to come home with you more than anything. I wish we could go back and pick up where we left off. Once this is all over, maybe we can make a proper go of things again. We could have a family."
~Flashback~
Drew walks over to the window and sees the silhouette of wedding cards still there. A faded sunset in the background. She closes the blinds and turns away.
She makes her way over to the cot in the corner of the bedroom and sees the hammer resting in the cot.
Taking a swing at the cot with the hammer, she screams, "I never got to name my child!" She manages to convey strength in another swing. "I lost the only part of him left... I've lost everything!" She lets out in a whisper.
The blood on her wrists reflect in her eye. She notices the scratches from catching her wrists on the splintered wood. But that's not where she feels the sting of pain.
Giving the cot one last kick, she throws the hammer onto the ruins of the cot.
Wearily, Drew steps out onto the balcony to see the sunset from the other side has still not yet reached over the skyline. She grips the rail as she looks up, the sting of tears pulling at her eyes. A contrast of different shades of grey blanket the sky.
Drew feels hopeless as she sinks to the floor in the corner of the balcony. Her thighs are pressed against her chest, with her hugging them and she rests her chin on her knees.
A sudden tap can be felt on her head. She gazes up again to see that the sky is now crying with her.
~Present Day~
"We were going to be a family." Drew said in a quiet voice.
It was enough for Reve to hear. "What?" He asked, wanting a further explanation.
"I was pregnant. The day you left, I found out." Drew admitted.
"I was going to be a father?" Reve was trying to process what he had just been told.
Drew nodded. "I lost our baby a few weeks after."
"Because of me?" A look of realisation was visible on his face. It was evident it was dawning upon him that he was responsible.
"No. Don't think like that." Drew pleaded. "I didn't want to tell you like this but... I never got the chance to tell you. I thought you should know before you come home."
Silent tears fell from his eyes. "I wasn't even dead. You grieved the loss of a person who was alive. It's my fault, I killed our baby."
"That's not true." Drew wrapped her arms around him and shifted closer to him on the couch. "It was supposed to work out like this. I'm just so thankful you never died."
After the moment had faded out, Reve spoke up again. "I really wish you and Logan had met before, you know."
"Me too." Drew agreed. "I'm so close to finding who wants you dead." She contemplated telling him that she was sure Damian White was innocent but she stopped herself.
A sudden ringing startled the both of them. Drew checked the GPS on her phone. "I've got to go."
And so she left in such a hurry, she never even turned to say goodbye.
