Chapter 6

The next day, Jeffrey waited Danna on the bakeshop beside the first gate of the school. He was wearing a black buttoned polo whose sleeves were rolled up to the elbows paired with black jeans and a pair of black sneakers. He wore a ring on his left middle finger, a cross necklace, and a black Rolex watch on his left hand. He checked his watch while waiting for Danna. It was already 9:45, Danna was getting late. He was surprised to see a girl who was running stopped right in front and tried to catch her breath. She was beautiful. It was Danna.

Danna breathes heavily and takes a deep breath, "I'm sorry I'm late Jeff." She apologizes repeatedly to Jeffrey. Jeffrey calmed her and holds her shoulder. "Hey, calm down Dan." He replies. "It's okay." He assures her.

She smiles at Jeffrey as she ties her hair and said, "Thanks Jeff." Jeffrey blushes and coughs. "So.. how do I look?" She asks as she checks her outfit. It was a green shirt that matched the color of her eyes layered with a checkered black and white jacket. Her shorts were black and she wore white sneakers. She looks astonishing.

"You look beautiful Dan." Jeffrey smiled and Danna blushed as she looks away. "So.. shall we go now?"

"O.. Of course." Danna replied. Jeffrey walks towards his motorcycle and invites Danna to sit behind him. Danna immediately sits and grips Jeffrey's black polo. Jeffrey turns his motorcycle on and starts moving.

"It's a good thing my brother let me borrowed his motorcycle." Jeffrey said. "If he didn't, it would be too bad we road on a tricycle."

Danna laughs and softly says, "That would be okay as long as I'm with you." Jeffrey couldn't catch what she said. "What?" He said. "Nothing." She replies and smiles as she rests her head on his back.

Exactly 10 a.m. they arrived at the cafe, they immediately went upstairs and saw Carl sitting on a table with some cards at hand. He said, "So there are already three of us. You know what this means?"

Jeffrey smiles and replies, "It's chikicha time." He immediately sat in front of Carl and Danna followed. "You know how to play this right?" He asks Danna.

"Of course I do. Who doesn't?" Danna smiles confidently. Carl shuffled the cards and distributed the cards equally. They arranged their cards at hand and Carl smiled as if implying that he will win. 15 minutes later, Stephen arrived and was surprised finding Jeffrey kneeling on the floor in defeat. He couldn't accept losing to Danna or at least to Carl.

Carl teased him and high-fived Danna, "I guess you can't really be good with everything can't you?" He smirked.

Stephen interrupted and sat on a chair, "Chester hasn't arrived yet?" He signals the waiter.

The waiter comes forward and Stephen said, "I'd like to order one milk tea please."

"Certainly sir." The waiter giggles. Upon hearing this, Stephen thought that the voice was familiar. He looked up and was surprised to see Chester who was already there all along. "You look like a waiter." Stephen said.

"Yeah, I get that a lot." Chester answers. This was Chester's usual casual wear. A polo shirt and a bowtie, dark jeans, leather shoes and a beret. "Hello everyone."

"Hi Chester!" Danna replies. "You look awesome with that." She compliments him.

"Right?" Chester smiles and proudly claps for himself. Carl and Jeffrey laughed at his confidence and proceeded playing with the cards.

"Sooo.. What do you guys wanna buy?" Stephen asks the group. "I'm gonna go with some milk tea." He walks to the counter and orders the drink.

"I'll take a burger and a strawberry milk tea Steph." Jeffrey requested.

"Me and Chester would take the cookies and cream milk tea." Carl said.

"I'll take an ube milk tea please." Danna requested with a soft voice. She looks at Jeffrey and said, "You really like burgers do you?" Carl heard this and smiles.

"Yes he really does." Carl replies. "Plus strawberries to. He'll be the happiest man alive. Why don't you try giving him that sometime." He suggested Dana who was typing it down on her phone.

"Duly noted." Danna smiles at Carl.

Jeffrey looks at Carl and starts giving him the stares. Carl ignores Jeffrey and receives the milk tea which he ordered. He proceeds to drink the milk tea. Stephen sat down and played chess with Chester. Danna who was amazed while looking at them turns her head to Jeffrey. She leans forward and asks, "So how's your song going?"

Jeffrey turns his head to her and said, "It's good Dan. We plan to record it on the break right after founders week. You wanna come with us in the studio?" He suggests.

"Can I come?"

"Of course you could." Jeffrey smiles at Danna. The beautiful morning went on and they had so much fun playing in the cafe. Ping pong, Jenga, Chess, Cards and many more games. Carl looked at Jeffrey as if telling him to do something. Jeffrey does not agree with Carl and continued playing. The smiles on their faces were never gone. They ask the waiter to take a group picture and each one had a copy of it. When they went home, Jeffrey dropped Danna in the bakeshop beside the first gate of the school. He offered her a ride home but she rejects it simply because he doesn't want Jeffrey to know where she lives.

"When I arrive home, I'll chat with you okay?" Danna said.

"Sure Danna, voice mail again?" Jeffrey replies.

"You don't like it?"

"Of course I do. Take care Danna."

"You as well Jeff."

Danna watched Jeffrey as he rides his motorcycle on the way home. Tears started to fall from her eyes and she whispers. "You idiot."
